Assad should send the UN another letter saying "I told you so"

That would really piss them off

With all due respect to those who are being held captive, they had no business being there in the first place to defend these murderous terrorists so it's quite fitting that this has happened. What I mean is that this is what happens when you aid and support foreign terrorists.

I agree. I think its stupid sending peacekeepers to try and bring stability to a bunch of thugs who are more concerned about cutting your head off for ridiculous amounts of money.

I would just like to add that small groups of people, completely separate from one another and often fighting for different reasons are neatly bundled together by mainstream media as if they were an organized faction, when they are anything but.

In reality, the so-called Al-Qaedas of this world do not hold meetings or have a leadership structure or have a united front in any way shape or form, they are nothing but small groups of radicals who consider their situations (for various reasons) dire enough to warrant armed conflict.

The proof will come when trying to negotiate with these "freedom fighters" (or are they insurgents, or rebels, or terrorists?)... who do you call? Who is their spokesperson?

Sometimes I wonder if the politicians and mainstream "news" outlets believe their own stupidity, or are they just really that stupid?

This makes one wonder why so many UN troops were there in the first place and so close to the border. Perhaps they had just delivered arms and supplies and the deal went south? Or they forgot to bring the free case of soda for every RPG the terrorist bought?

Really wouldn't surprise me if they did make a delivery. Read a story last year how the UN troops were escorting a diamond convoy in Africa that was passing villages that were being burned down and attacked by rebels, and ignoring the cries for help from the victims.

Looks to me like the "rebels" have finally acquired the right enemy! Now all they need to do is expand their operations against that enemy, the UN, and take it from there. They will then be fighting the fight for all the people of the world!

UN has no business being in that country. As far as I'm concerned they have no authority over anything. You can't just come in and say hey were the world police, you have to do what we say.

I don't think there is much to doubt about these rebals anymore then the ones now in Libya or the ones in power in Egypt. There all a part of the Muslim Brotherhood which is looking to take control of the middle east anyway they can.

After Syria they will move on to Saudi Aribia and then make a pact with Iran....can you imagine the MB with nuke's to support there Jihad to take over the world....................just a thouht.

American funded? More most of the West countries funded. Saying that your dollars/pounds, whatever you use is most likely funding them too. Can't blame America for taking all the blame with everyone hiding behind us shoveling out money and equipment as well.

That said. Funding should stop to the rebels. Israel, Pakistan, UAE, and every other country that we give money we don't have too. I wish my credit line worked like my governments' did.

20 UN peacekeepers taken hostage by Syrian rebels in Golan Heights

rt.com

Syrian rebels have seized twenty UN peacekeepers in the Golan Heights on the border between Syria and Israel. The United Nations Security Council demands the convoy’s immediate release.

A young fighter saying he was from the "Martyrs of Yarmouk" said the peacekeepers would not be set free until Syrian government forces withdrew from the village of Jamlah, a mile east of the ceasefire link with the Israeli-occupied Golan, Reuters reports.

"If no withdrawal is made within 24 hours we will treat them as prisoners," he said, claiming the UN forces had collaborated with Syrian government

Ummm....well...that will certainly keep some little Syrian girls from being used for child sex by the blue helmeted perverts...It seems that raping children is the preferred form of entertainment at UN functions or missions or deployments...

Been saying this for awhile - leave the middle east alone.

Stay out of foreign civil wars...and for the Israel haters, leave them alone as well. Meddling in the middle east will solve nothing except fatten the industrial military complex.

So..... when do the Government-sanctioned drones start taking out those American politicians who supported and sent money to these terrorists?

well the European Union is calling for the unconditional release of the 21 Filipino peacekeepers.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The European Union has called for the unconditional release of 21 Filipino peacekeepers in the Golan Heights , condemning the act as a ” serious breach of international law. ” In a statement issued in Brussels through her spokesperson, EU Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton said the bloc was ” alarmed” about the illegal detention of Filipino peacekeepers in the ceasefire zone between Syria and Israel. the stupid thing is that these peacekeepers were apparently working on behalf of the rebels when they were taken prisoner. :shk:

Syrian rebels seized 21 Filipino peacekeepers assigned to the UN Disengagement Observer Force ( UNDOF) on Wednesday as they demanded the pullout of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’ s forces from rebel-controlled Jamla region near the border of Syria and Israel. CNN were running some story last night about how the Rebels kidnapped the peacekeepers for their own protection against Assad airstrikes lol.. There demands were for the government to retreat from the village that was being pounded and the peacekeepers would be released. Then we have an FSA knob saying that the Red Cross can come pick them up at anytime. Stinks of bs thats for sure.

Well I know the US just said they would be openly supporting them but "not militarily." So who knows.

If I had to guess.. they are keeping the peacekeepers hostage as a sort of cover from the Syrian army. The army might try to get the rebels, but would they risk killing UN peacekeepers? Likely not. So the FSA probably snatched them for cover.

I just read that the Philippine Government is trying to pressure the Syrian Forces to fall back from that area.

So this hostage taking seems to be an operation to garner external pressure to gain any territory that they can using unwitting pawns.

Seriously, why doesn't the entire world just agree to completely Nuke that whole entire Middle-eastern area of the world? Why do we give these scumbaegs the priveledge of breathing another day? It makes me so angry to think of the poor souls who fall victims to these monsters! I swear, it might sound crazy but the day will come when these people get there hands on weapons serious enough to do some REAL damage to other nations and we are just going to say THAT IS IT, for the benefit of the rest of the world, the safest thing to do is destroy that area. Oh, and I'm 25% Lebanese so don't waste your thoughts on me being racist. Racism doesnt even make sense to me. However, this does. ~PEACE & LOVE~
