Wonder if there is a conspiracy angle here:

On going threats by the current administration to Iran- Chavez being a supporter of Iran "suddenly dies".

I wonder.

Maybe Chavez is in a treatment center in Iran now...??

plenty of nuclear radiation to help the cancer

fake death for political reasons ?

I'm in disagreement with most, but I did make the following reply on an MSM post:

"We really needed an opportunity to see socialism work and somehow conjoin with capitalism. His opportunity has passed, but I hope his predecessor holds onto his fight. Capitalism is not working for us anymore. We need a new strategy and Chavez was looked upon by the world in his effort to stamp out poverty and show us a different dichotomy. This guy was not the evil person he has been made out to be. He gained incredible traction in South America and he will be remembered as a hero."

I'm not ashamed to say that I am sad for him, his family and his country. Flame away.

Hopefully the next administration in Venezuela will find a way to improve the lot of the people, and not just make noises about doing so by sabre rattling and socialism.

Improvements have ben made - but given the amount of industry/oil expropriated from foreign companies you'd think it would have been quite a lot more than it actually was!

So what did the previous administrations do to improve thing's for the ordinary Venezuelan considering they had exactly the same resources at their disposal?

Chavez wasn't perfect and had many faults but he wasn't quite the demon many portrayed him to be.

Only if you think a highly publicised multi-year "battle with cancer" constitutes "suddenly"

Officially according to whom? Like I said, it's been reported for a few weeks now that he died. Maybe he did, but they didn't want to make it officially known until now, for whatever reason.

Don't mean to speak ill of the man but I thought the Cuban medical system was the best in the world?

Wonder what was the last thing that went through his mind?
Sean Penn perhaps?
