4. Maybe he just got cancer.

5. It happens.

Fairly sure that is FlyersFan's position.

Didn't that MI6 spy get cancer from the Russians? I believe someone on here posted a story of it and how the Brits were trying to cover it up so that they could continue trade with Russia. It was radiation cancer but it was still cancer so it is possible to give someone cancer.

Only ATS members could think of a conspiracy like this. It's outrageous that someone else could steal a good conspiracy like this one from ATS.

Socialists are generally conspiracy-theorists and they are also uneducated and of low IQ. So when their leader gets sick they instantly look for a scapegoat. The scapegoat will usually turn out to be a country at a higher stage of development because they hate anyone who is better them, calling it "inequality".

Don't you just hate conspiracy theorists? With their wacky ideas and beliefs. Seems strange you would want to be a member of this website with all those conspiracy theorists with low IQs? Or do you just come for the higher IQ conservative conspiracies?

The examples I posted on page 1 of this thread show that its not such a crazy thing to suggest governments will try to assassinate those they don't like, with some far out methods. Check the attempts on fidel castros life for example. Not a conspiracy theory but a fact.

You have stated the people get cancer and it is natural. Do you even know what type of cancer Chavez died from and what are the probabilities of getting it. Are you privy to the medical or autopsy reports.. Opinions are cheap there are billions of them in the world Maybe you would be better off trying to stick to the facts in question.

That's a seriously SNOTTY response.

1 - NO ONE knows which cancer Chavez had.

2 - I stated the facts ... 1/3 of all people on this planet will get cancer without it purposely being 'infected' on them.

3 - Your bias is showing. You spit at me 'opinions are cheap' .. and yet you are giving yours. That's hypocritical. This is a DISCUSSION board .. and I'm allowed to give my opinion .. so get over youself.

Ignorant thread. Brought to you by one of "The Usual Suspect" of ATS. I stopped after reading the nonsense in the Op.

And yet, even though you failed to engage in reading the entire thread, you felt the need to spew forth this silly post of yours ... a post that contributes nothing to the discussion. Yeah ... that's the spirit.

ATS Usual Suspects(probably retired old crystallized narrow minded right wingers who got to much time on their hands)

Epic fail on your part.

There ya' go.

Chavez wasn't a threat at all. Not compared to N. Korea or to Iran. He made anti-American speeches, but so what? Castro's been doing it for decades and no one whacked him. And Chavez was buds with Castro ... both of them have actually made a few positive-obama statements in the past. (not all their statements, but some) Unlike certain other foreign leaders who call him 'satan'.

Killing Chavez makes no sense.

My position is that 1/3 of the world will get cancer in their lifetime. ONE THIRD. And they won't get it by purposely being 'infected' with it. Cancer happens all the time .. everywhere. And to automatically jump to the conclusion that Chavez was given cancer .. that's silly.

The USA could do it .. but why? Chavez made anti-american speeches. So what? Castro did too and yet he's lived for decades and decades doing it. To give Chavez cancer makes no sense. However, seeing the FACT that people get cancer all the time on their own DOES make sense.

If there are independent tests done on the body showing that he was somehow infected .. or a whistleblower steps forward .. then we can believe that he was given cancer on purpose. Then it will be common sense to believe it. But to blindly believe this Venezuelan Vice President simply because it's cool to be anti-American govenrment or something .. that's absurd.

I'll wait for some facts before jumping on the 'america did it' bandwagon.

Sure. But it's MUCH more likely that someone will get cancer on their own. 1/3 of the population will. And considering how many other more important targets there are out in the world, it would be silly to think that the USA picked Chavez, but bypassed Castro for decades, and bypassed N. Korea who is threatening war and nukes, and bypassed Iran ....

I think you're referring to the poisoning of Alexander Litvinenko with Polonium , Yasser Arafat was exhumed late last year to conduct tests to see if Polonium was implicated in his death .

Polonium seems to be an ideal assassins tool , I would be surprised if they didn't test Chavez for it but would we ever know .

If Chavez has Polonium in his system then I'm sure the Venezuelan Vice President would shout it from the highest rooftops in Venezuela. And the entire planet would know it.

Heck .. even if Chavez doesn't have it in his system, it wouldn't surprise me if the VP said Chavez did anyways. It would be a way to bring the Venezuelan people all together under one umbrella. Invent an enemy to hate ... the USA or whoever the VP tried to pin it on.

It would be a useful political tool for the VP either way.

Wait... the OP links to Reuters, but the excerpt is NOT from Reuters, but from "The Star"...
The Star

And the title of the thread, which contains quotes that NOBODY said, is found in none of the three articles...

The OP mentions the White House several times, even though NONE of the articles mention the White House or the CIA... What spin are you trying to put on this story?

PS, if you think someone can't give someone else cancer, you are mistaken. Cancer is easily created in lab rats routinely. I don't think ANYONE in the US gave Chavez cancer, but your logic is far from sound.

Look .. the news is reporting this. They are discussing that this is an absurd thing for the Vice President of Venezuela to say. They are discussing that he isn't capable of running the country .. and they are giving his lack of education and lack of experience as examples as well as his saying that the US government gave Chavez cancer. I'm reporting to this thread ... that is what the TV NEWS is saying.

Could you link to some of that? Because I can't find any articles that are discussing his education or his ability to run the country.

When it first came out I was very suspicious. I wondered about it.
After the test results came back and all the facts were in, I decided it was natural.

(hey .. but good memory on your part!

You just want to rumble ... read the thread. My logic is VERY sound. In fact, I'm being more logical than the folks who are jumping on the 'the usa must have done it' bandwagon.

I stated that the TV news was discussing this Vice President fella. TV NEWS.

And if you had bothered to actually read the thread before foaming .. you would see that I was very clear .. the USA COULD do this, but there is no reason to IMHO. I already gave my reasoning for believing that Obama didn't order any hit on Chavez.

As for your supposed problem with the news source ... it's all over the news and all over the internet now. There isn't just one source. The Vice President of Venezuela accused the USA .. which is run by the Obama Administration ... of 'infecting' Chavez with cancer. I don't buy that Obama, or any part of the USA, gave a hit order on Chavez. If evidence to the contrary comes up, then I'll review that decision.

Your faux-indignation at me not believing at this time that the White House ordered a hit is bizzare. Here I am defending the Obama administration and yet you are jumping up and down anyways .. just because it's me posting
too funny.

I have no idea if the US government is handing out cancer to it's foes.

I am very confident that if the US Government cannot pass a budget it is completely intentionally and to their best benefit.

I did read the thread and as I said, I agree with you. There is no reason for the US to do this, IMO, but I'm not ruling it out because of the VP's education or his ability to run the country.
What does that have to do with anything? I can't figure out your angle. But it's not necessary that I do. I have my opinions on the matter.

Which channel?

As for your supposed problem with the news source ... it's all over the news and all over the internet now.

I understand that. I just think it's disingenuous (and probably against T&C) to post an excerpt from a "Star" article and claim it's from Reuters. And also to place a quote in the title that appears in NONE of the articles. You know I'm always preaching to people to look past the title...

Here I am defending the Obama administration and yet you are jumping up and down anyways ..

And you assume I should automatically agree with you because you are defending Obama? Well, that is... misplaced.

Lastly, I was neither foaming, nor indignant. I'm not upset at all. I'm confused.
