DOJ to Begin "Crackdown" on Conspiracy Theorists

Just more proof our government is going off the rails.

I'm surprised they didn't call them "Disgruntled American extremist terrorist organizations" instead, or something even more ridiculous.

Governments going after it's opposition? Where have I heard of that before?...

With respect to your thread title, well it's a little misleading to say the least.

As far as the actual recommendations laid out in the source article with respect to;

crackdown on “conspiracy-minded antigovernment Patriot groups.”

Sounds like a pretty good plan to me. IMO, these nut jobs are indeed a real threat.

Just stop and think about it. Statistics clearly show that despite the fact that more and more assault weapons are being sold in America, the actual number of guns owners is shrinking. So who does this shrinking pool of gun owners expect to use their guns against? Is it the growing un-armed sector of the american population that poses a threat to them? I think not. So, are they planning on fighting each other or are they planning on fighting the only other entity with access to such a large stockpile of weapons? Namely, the U.S. government.

To use someone else's words, "it doesn't take a rocket surgeon" to figure that one out. Not to worry though, I think I read somewhere that we currently have a lot of perfectly good FEMA camps just sitting there going to waste.

Let's all just pass around a Petition to give California and Hawaii to China in exchange for them forgiving our debt to them.

So what are the gun grabs, the gun bans and the gun buybacks all about then?

The threat to ban guns, the buy back and gun grabs are all designed for one reason and that is to sell more guns.

Just look at how well this strategy works for the oil companies. Every once in awhile government has to rattle the cage a little just to keep their currency relevant, and by currency I am talking about FEAR. Without people being afraid it doesn't take very long for those same people to realize that the government is really unnecessary for most things in life.

As far as conspiracy theorists go i think we actually help with the propaganda machine. Now all the government has to do is start a rumor and we just spread the word drawing attention away from other issues and screaming about the loss of our liberties.

I also tentatively would have to say that any organization that claims to be religious in nature should have no need of guns.

A man who has a gun, states that you must obey his imaginary friend, demands your money, and and states that if you don't comply you are going to hell.

Would you call him a threat or a preacher?

Sounds like a business agenda to escape a sequester, lowering the level to include more people. Conspiracy hunting season is now officially open. Just one of those buzzwords to develop intolerance for.

Now which one of you conspiracy theorists has been going around making the government types look bad? Who has been invalidating all their hard counterintelligence and counterterrorism agents, who had to go to a university to learn how to stalk their vict..err, I mean, fellow Americans? Now the justice types are all jealous because they are losing their edge to these wonderful upstanding Americans that are geared to be patriotic in their nation for free.

I remember old impossible rules from other oppressive nations which have been overthrown by people who could not take the starvation of their free will. Like the rules against questioning government. Rules against fictional writing. Cultural rules. This seems like one of those cultural rules threatening freedoms.

Some days you just have to exercise chracter snd be a stinker as a conspiracy theorist in the face of ideological cleansings invented by mere employees desperate for promotions within their government cult.

Ummm.....what you purposely glossed over is how there is a natural pause between "conspiracy-minded antigovernment Patriot groups"..........It should read..."conspiracy-minded, antigovernment, Patriot groups"...If you take it one step further you begin to see that the message actually states
"conspiracy-minded...and...anti-government...and...Patriot groups".

This is the real meat of the message...if you put this in context with 2nd ammendment and gun grab...the underlying premise of this fine little missive becomes obvious....that it's not just the religious fanatics that the SPLC bastard child Marc Potack and his boyfriend are......gunning for.

So, it comes to mind that the government watches what everyone's mood is, then they have a false flag event and say everyone must shut up because you must be involved in the event. Like W said after 911, don't pay no mind to the conspiracy theorists who just seek to divert attention from the terrorists. Like we all have a clue what everyone else is up to. Sounds like they are the conspiracy theorists, and paranoid too, trying to record all of everyone's conversations everywhere in the world. I think they should all go to the mental hospital for a check up. That is my theory.

If we let this philosophy stand, we would all be justified in killing anyone and everyone who demonstrates the ability to make fire. Is that what is really going on here, DOJ watched the National Geographic Special on the Lascaux, France cave paintings and they are afraid that they don't have it on tape, so they can't analyze the tape, so they are getting nervous that someone poached a pooch.

When will you learn this is the Gov we are talking about, it dies not matter to them if your NRA or ptea, AFLCIO or a patriot for a new America. An AR is an AR a threat is threat, and they are to Gov threats.

Here is the list by the SPLC of active patriot groups, just to avoid any misunderstandings they are not targeting "hate groups" as are listed on their map. The article states patriot groups which are compiled in this list just to be clear.

The center tracked 1,360 radical militias and anti-government groups in 2012, an eightfold increase over 2008, when it recorded 149 such groups. The explosive growth began four years ago, sparked by the election of President Obama and anger about the poor economy, the center says. That growth is likely to continue as the groups recruit more members with a pro-gun message, the center's senior fellow Mark Potok said.
