Being a Cincinnatian for the 20 years of my existence thus far, I'm truly excited for the city's first real casino!
Although I won't be able to actually enjoy the entertainment for another year , I'm positive it'll really help the city's economy.
Two pro sports teams (that suck sometimes :/ ) skyline chili, goetta, Oktoberfest, and now a casino!

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've been to the one in Indiana and enjoyed it very much. It will definitely bring a lot of revenue into the community as well as jobs. Congratulations to Cincinnati for the addition!

Yup I know they can be fun If you go everynow and then but I worked in one and saw people go in day in day out, they are there to make money from you.
You never see a poor bookie or casino owner.
like I said the house always wins.
If you like losing money go to a casino, If that is fun great go ahead.

Oh,so they expanded to Ohio.

I'm in Louisville and our casino opened up across the river in Indiana about 14 years ago.
It opened as Caesars, but Horseshoe bought them out.

I know were all that social security money is going to,those nickle slots, thats were.
And Harrison County, where it is located,is getting some money, but not much.

All it is ,is a big black hole funneling money to some fat cat out west.

Quite an expensive but otherwise great way to have fun.
You can't go to one expecting to win - that is a bad way to using them.

From what I've heard about Caesars entertainment is that they're pretty generous with their money. A friend who works in the steakhouse there said that aside from the employee pay, they gave most of their money from their demo night to some organizations. This is only what I've heard though.. Hopefully someone else will have some insight on this

Granted, they do make a lot of money, especially from those who have difficulty in controlling their impulses. However, they offer a free dinner buffet with a certain amount of time spent in the casino, offer very good entertainment, very comfortable rooms and it's a good experience as long as you stay in check of your finances and how much you are willing to gamble away.

There have been times that I have won a great deal and other times when I didn't win at all and spent all the money I allowed myself to take for the purpose. As long as you're in control of yourself, it's a great experience. If you have trouble keeping control, either choose a different destination or find a way to limit yourself from overspending.
