Another possibility could be the illegal trade in human organs-idk about the Carribean so much specifically,but we all know there is a demand-and if rich people demand-they get.To the ones ruling this world,and to the very rich,regular people are just cattle anyway-the swineous multitudes.
I dont know if closing the cave would stop that kind of thing though,im sure the practitioners of whatever transpired there,would just find another place-one the cops don't know of yet.
