True freedom is the being's inherent recognition in each moment that we are Consciousness - not simply these body-minds arising - but the non-separate Witness of all arising. In this recognition we are free, already beyond what is changing and mortal, but paradoxically, not separate from all arising.

Consciousness never changes, never is threatened by any thing that does change because consciousness is already prior to and beyond all conditions. Consciousness is freedom, intelligence, discrimination, indivisible light, love-bliss - Reality Itself.

Inspect consciousness or awareness itself. Does it actually change as the body-mind ages? Awareness or consciousness is fundamentally the same each and every year the body-mind ages, and is the one constant whether awake, dreaming, or in a deep (objectless/dreamless) sleep. We can discover this freedom because it is inherent to being itself.

What is TRUE freedom?

Emancipation from the arbitrary rule of others.

Most of the major ills of the world have been caused by well-meaning people who ignore the principle of individual freedom while trying to improve the lot of mankind-in-the-mass through some pet formula of their own. What they fail to realize is that whenever one departs from voluntary cooperation by trying to "do good" by using force, the bad moral value of force always triumphs over good intentions.
