Now this kind of freak's me out,a robotic dog that throws cinder blocks!

Talk about your urban warfare,I want to see it throw an axe or something.

BigDog handles heavy objects. The goal is to use the strength of the legs and torso to help power motions of the arm. This sort of dynamic, whole-body approach is routinely used by human athletes and animals, and will enhance the performance of advanced robots. The control techniques and actuators needed for dynamic manipulation are being developed by Boston Dynamics with funding from the Army Research Laboratory's RCTA program

Every time I see it, I'm fascinated by it.. But it's also the stuff of nightmares.

I guess it's the way it moves. So animal like at a basic level, yet it's just a machine.

The other video where they kick it and it recovers from a fall, almost makes you feel for it, but it's just a machine.

Maybe it's the buzzing noise is makes clip clopping all around places.

haha, but I love this little guy, and the cheetah robot made by the same mob, that can run really really fast.



We're building animals... and the japanese are still just plonking pretty faces on webcams and microphones.
