Hasn't everyone noticed by now, that everything Obama does or says is the contrary to what he does/did.

To list 5 random examples:

1. Ex-gay, married female in order to be acceptable.
2. Promised GMO labeling.
3. Promised to withdraw from Afghanistan.
4. Promised lower healthcare insurance premiums.
5. Cryed at scripted Newtown massacre speech, Like the amateur actor whose daughter was supposely killed, he was at the same time, laughing especially inside.

back on topic, i think the only person really wanting a sequester was Obama.
(regardless what the press says)

if he didn't want it, he could have averted it in more than one way ... so, why didn't he ?

from what i've read, it seems the Democrats are the ones refusing to cooperate.
the Republicans have passed 2 proposals that would have averted this sequester, so why aren't the Democrats cooperating ?

Obama wanted the sequester to show how dependent we all are on government. This'll backfire on him, in my humble, because we CAN survive without government intrusion and the cuts are just a reduction in the increase in spending.

Lol i listened to him rant today about how the janitor cleaning the floor in the white house was going to take a pay cut. Seriously?! come on..

Meanwhile in the oval office.. signing billion dollar checks to foreign countries, pouring taxpayer money into entitlement programs, purchasing and shipping weapons to mexico, using taxpayer money to buy drones to watch over everyone..

Can't pay the guy cleaning the floor though..

Try looking up what a real dictatorship is and involves.

Obama is no dictator or tyrant. A dickhead maybe, but not insane or murderous bully.

The people of the US have a walk in the park through life under your current rule. Other countries are far less fortunate and when a leader or government truly dose not care about the people, you will fear to open your front door and take a walk in the street, where you risk being abducted, tortured and executed by the local police.

Or lining up in a mile long cue to buy a loaf of bread with the 50 cents you worked your ass of to earn over the last week., along with 98% of your fellow countrymen and women.

Stop complaining and get on with your lives.

This thread is all over the place.

1. Obama's entire statement wasn't about gauging Americas reaction to the possibility of him becoming president for life. It also wasn't opposite day and he was confessing. It was an intentional statement meant to point the finger at republicans for any and all negative consequences of this soap opera. This sets up the democrats for the midterm election, and possibly even the next presidential election.

2. It costs less overseas to manufacture because it's cheaper to live overseas. Complicated, right? I demand to make a wage I can survive from, while working full time. Union workers want the same. If I work full time and live modestly, I should be able to make it. Except, that's not the reality of it. The cost of living goes up and up, while wages barely move.

3. For those that failed history class, Hitler and Nazi Germany were fascists. Fascism is on the opposite ideological spectrum to socialism. So... Calling Obama a fascist and a socialist makes no sense what so ever to anyone who has actually bothered to learn what those terms mean. They can be great buzzwords to get people emotional...but for the love of all that is sane and intelligent... use them properly.

4. The "Jedi Mind Meld" thing is still being argued by the experts. Star wars forums are battling over whether he meant the ancient Jedi technique of the Force meld or not. The Force Meld unites the minds of several Jedi together, as they share the power of the Force. I know, it's stressful. But these are professionals who have completely familiarized themselves with the main story, the side stories, and the entirety of the extended universe. We'll have to wait and see if they decide if we can be upset or not. In the mean time, George Takei says it's cool.

Plenty of examples in this thread

Obama is no dictator or tyrant. A dickhead maybe, but not insane or murderous bully.

Is that a drone I hear?

The people of the US have a walk in the park through life under your current rule.

As long as government doesn't interfere.

Other countries are far less fortunate and when a leader or government truly dose not care about the people, you will fear to open your front door and take a walk in the street and risk being abducted, tortured and executed by the local police.

Plenty of examples on ATS about that going on in America. Ruby Ridge *cough* Waco *cough*

Stop complaining and get on with your lives.

Yes sir. I will be quiet and obey.

Wow, can't believe he said that. Doesn't get more obvious than this now does it...We don't need government anymore, that time is gone. They do nothing but hinder our growth and further dig our grave on this planet. What was one good thing to come out of their actions in the last 200+ years without them benefiting in some way....? Or pushing some agenda on the public?

They've never used their power to do anything of value. Just old sacks of crap scrambling around to keep a tight grasp on what little power they have left over people. What a scumbag...

Dude, there's no talking to them. You make good points, and they will respond with paranoid drivel.

They will never comprehend that every bill they dislike from him, was written and passed by Congress. Even the drones were funded by republicans in congress! Not to mention his EOs were all constitutional, and the majority of them were reauthorizations of ones passed by Bush!! and I've read all of them. The EOs he has passed on his own are completely benign.

Just let them live in their paranoid delusional fantasy world. They just don't deal with facts.

Yeah this whole mess leaves a horrid taste in my mouth,
the president is throwing a fit like we don't remember he
was in on it this whole time, the repubs are blaming him
as if they would fix anything, they both cant curtail their own
spending and feel as if they have a right to criticize others.

I for one am glad the spending has been cut, the only thing
i wish is that it were more, no i take that back i wish it were
more and they were forced to decide on a budget, id like
to see a budget not be optional and of paramount importance,
discretionary spending should be cut completely and amended
to be emergency only spending, i don't want these irresponsible
adultchildren having the option of no oversight at their own
discretion, they obviously as evidence by the results of all
this BS cannot balance a budget, the number one job they
should all be able to do.

I really am just fed up with it, id rather go to very very small
government with obsessive and invasive oversight, i wanna
hire an OCD team of accountants and sick them on the
expenditures, anything that cannot be accounted for is
a strike against the official who has overall control of that
area, 3 strikes and no retirement or a flogging, their choice.

So having a different opinion is paranoid drivel?

They will never comprehend that every bill they dislike from him, was written and passed by Congress.

And signed by the president.

Even the drones were funded by republicans in congress!

Yes, it's Bush's fault. I knew it!

"I can't do a Jedi mind-meld" to force Congress to agree to a deal, he added

**Cough** thats Vulcan mind-meld.

Jedi's can influence those of weaker mind. I find it ironic Obama would make a comment about that (if he knew the true application of Jedi powers ofcourse
) and suggest he had hopped to influence the weak minded.

I think many of us here are of sound mind and will not fall for any political Jedi manipulation

Yeah, that's sort of the whole point! He's playing politics to drive out and marginalize the alleged "opposition" using the very system HE set up and wanted! Smooth, huh?

2. It costs less overseas to manufacture because it's cheaper to live overseas. Complicated, right? I demand to make a wage I can survive from, while working full time. Union workers want the same. yeah. I wonder WHY it's so much cheaper to live over there? It used to be pretty cheap to live here, too, until folks started demanding more pay than they were worth, pushing up the cost of living for every one, and pricing themselves right out of jobs. Now it's become a never-ending, escalating cycle. But you know, I reckon that's just become the American Way!

Yeah, what HE said! that's why I prefer the term "collectivist". Both Fascism and Socialism are collectivist by their very definitions, the main difference being in who gets the biggest part of the pie, the fruits of YOUR labors - whether it goes to a government oligarchy or a corporate oligarchy. Either way, it sort of bypasses YOU. Both also seem to have a predisposition to get all dictatorial on us, and actually seem to be set up that way, what with their inherent centralization of power and such.

Have you noticed how centralized our government has been getting? I don't care if it's "socialist" or "fascist", it's not GOOD either way!

What generally sits at the top of that sort of pyramid, right up there beside the All-Seeing Eye? Yup. they call that guy a "dictator". I could give a damn what party he pitches for.

Oh, he's just continuing BUSH policies? Oh, well that makes it all OK then...
In all seriousness, though, do YOU really think it's "OK" because it's just a continuation of Bush's policies? I don't.

Trivia question: since when is it necessary to "reauthorize" EO's from prior presidents? I didn't get the memo - last I heard, all the prior EO's remained in effect until specifically DEauthorized, no REauthorization required.

Um gee Bezzer, let's look at the man's track record in negotiations with republicans concerning the debt ceiling, and tax hikes. Obama totes the word "compromise" around like a warhammer, always talking about how "we" all need to compromise, yet not one time has he ever compromised on anything. So much to the point, back in his previous term he let us default because he refused to compromise and what does he do? He blames it on the republicans. Now he's doing it again, using that word compromise again, yet he never compromises. His version of compromise is "my way or the highway", which is a blatant middle finger to all american citizens as we are the ones who reap the consequences of this man's ineptitude. This man cannot take any blame for anything.

Obama is the type of man who would piss down your leg and then tell you it's rainin'.

Nope, he's not one but this is...

May be considered a tad rude and not for kids...Its a vegetable...

But on topic, of course the man is a dictator, look at what he's doing to America, taking your guns, taking your cash etc etc..

That's a dictator in my books...

Yes, Mr. O you are a dictator. You hate governing laws made by the people. You have contempt for the Constitution of the United States, and you issue decrees like you were some ruling king over the people. You resist proper methods for making just and worthy laws "with" the elected congress. You stomp on religion. And you endeavor to remove the second amendment rights of the people.

So, yes Mr. Obummer, you are definitely a dictator, if only a paper one right now.

The 20 year trade deficit with asian countries is what destroyed america. P

No the fact is it is cheaper to have a product made 10,000 miles away and have it shipped here than it is to make that same product 1 mile away.

That ideology that lead to the expensive endeavor is why the "current need" for social engineering.

So instead of wanting wages to go up to booster the economy and allow the government to collect taxes the easy way, you defend globalism by saying america is too expensive, hence business can do as it pleases and leave, thus screwing a good percentage of working americans.

In turn this needs a bloated welfare state to keep up with the unemployed masses, threw a few bull# wars in the mix, and the next thing you know we need to raise the debt ceiling again and again and again.

Then people like you go on the message boards to defend this irrational greed and distort/spin everything around demonising the victims while encouraging business to be as greedy as it pleases. This is absurd logic, at least you should not play it poor while you are it.
