Police Radio Transmission

I posted here before and wanted to let you know since your site in the only one with any available information on this that we have been listening to our police scanner and picked up a message from a commander who seems to go by the name Smith, what we heard this man say was more than a bit alarming given all that we have seen and all that we do not know. The message said the following:

"I have been requested by the governor of New Jersey to place the counties of Mercer and Middlesex as far west as Princeton, and east to Jamesburg, under martial law. No one will be permitted to enter this area except by special pass issued by state or military authorities."

We are feeling trapped here and now it seems as if the rest of the world is being kept out. Still unable to find anything on the news only what we have found on this site.

Our power has gone out and came back several times, Phones are working but most of the time we get an all circuits are busy recording.

I don't know if we will be able to post again here so please get this news out.

There has GOT to be something big going on! There's been helicopters all over Trenton this afternoon, and when I was off at the grocery store, I had to wait for this huge military convoy.

And the police. I swear they're everywhere! More than I remember seeing. Is there some sort of riot going on? The terror level hasn't been raised and there aren't any announcements on radio.

Does ANYONE know what's going on?

Pick up a phone and call into the area. Just pick a # out of the phone a diner or a 7/11 or whatever you got in Jersey.

I have relatives who live in Linden NJ. I spoke with one of them and they said they could hear really loud jets flying over but couldn't see them. When I asked her what she meant by really loud she said she could hear them in the house and everything was shaking on the shelves and stuff

The fire department and police in my area are going around in the street with loud speakers telling the kids that are trick or treating to return home that this is a state wide emergency.

pffftttt!!! what a bunch of crap. If NJ was really under martial law it would be all over the web and alternative news sites.

Dude, I am telling you. My 14 year old daughter was just out with her friends and came home crying because the police are all over yelling at people to go home. She said she was scared because they looked like they were more afraid then she was.

Untill we get concrete evidence that something is going on, i suggest that you take it all with a pinch of salt.

I live in the UK and i have seen helicopters en mass for the last few months, not to say the amount of police patrolling. fairly normal for the UK i might add.

I think that this is just a hoax because of the elections in the US tomorrow.

If it were truely happening, then dont you think that you would have had some forewarning of it?

Though the very nature of this post (initially posted, member deleted - nowhere to be found) leads me to suspect a hoax, seeing SO's photos from the Mobile@ATS thread and the accompanying commentary from other posters makes me a bit nervous.

Jets in this area are hardly unusual. There is a huge military base nearby in Pa with jets flying over all the time. I've seen them in formation over the turnpike many times, and I've even seen a stealth bomber flying over the King of Prussia Mall area. The base is near Willow Grove not far from the NJ/PA line.

The Jersey City scanner has nothing unusual - you can listen live at www.nj.com...

Friends near Trenton report nothing out of the ordinary.
