Don't Believe the Report About Hugo Chávez's Death Just Yet

Could Hugo Chávez already be dead? We have reasons to doubt

Only time will tell.
I mean, it's possible but I don't believe it yet.

Well many here knew the old boy was fighting cancer and Cuba claimed to have cured his cancer. TWICE

so I guess anything is possible.

Well, it's not on the MSM yet as far as I can see. And you just know that they would be all over this.

Peace

A forum like this is hardly the place to detail every nuance of what the CIA has done in the western hemisphere and what influence they have and have had in the past, so I'll suffice to say that you need to do some more research. The hand of the CIA has been in almost every country in this hemisphere, and any time one of those countries has stepped out of bounds (shown that they might be able to be self-sufficient and indepdent), the CIA has stirred the pot or started a war to keep those countries in a continuous state of poverty and turmoil.

I mention the CIA in reply to another who brought it up for direct reference to Chavez, his replacement and South America in general.

You're right though. This isn't the thread to side track into that beyond what was already brought up and which I replied to. I respect the Central Intelligence Agency. I don't ascribe near supernatural powers to them. In fact, their proven and known track record pretty well sucks, to be honest about what is known ...and leaving out the near mythical claims of world domination out of an office building in Langley.

Isn't this the 3rd time he has died this year? We just had this conversation a month ago on ATS. The actual footage of him in a coffin is over a month old and if I recall was proven to be fake.

My bet is that he is dead and has been but the Venezuelan government won't admit it. And most of the people are so devoted to Chavez they won't dare ask legit questions.

If this isn't true then after one of his guys leaked the rumor they're going to have to wheel him out to make a public appearance. If not, the people and army will begin rumblings. "He's not dead, Jim"

How does elected leader equal dictator?

I wasn't aware he was elected. I retract the fact he's a "dictator".

Sorry I stand corrected.

ETA: I think elected constitutional changing president fits better. What's the difference? I don't think there is one.

Let's keep in mind how some of these individuals are "elected". Elections are oftentimes rigged. They may appear "democratic", but many times the result is predetermined. Rigged elections are nothing new..... not to socialist countries, and not to the U.S. either. Not everybody is going to believe it, but that's the way I've been seeing it these past few years.

I agree with you. As I posted earlier, even N. Korea had elections for Kim Jong-Un and he won with 100% of the vote. (Which was only done within the gov't which obviously makes it rigged).

This is common practice. It may not be so easy (as far as we know) to rig elections in the U.S but it can be done elsewhere.

Star.
