My post had nothing to do with Americans. It had to do with what a journalist wrote about how his policies affected Venezuela. I expected people here to defend him regardless of how his policies really affect his own country. It's just like that Donna Brazile woman who is a Democrat Obama supporter and wondered why her health insurance premiums went up after Obamacare was implemented. We could have told her... oh wait we did tell her but she wouldn't listen. She only heard the drumbeats of the Democrat Party line.

Do you want to be right so bad that you can't see the logical fallacies?
The website is just another website stating opinions, we may or may not trust the writers. The writer is Stephanie from Syracuse, USA. The second title is The Venezuelan strongman has been annoying for our country, and a lot worse for his own.

Pretty legit if you ask me

Well death or not death, been sick and unable to run the nation the American whores in government will be pushed by the pimps barons of oil to go and liberate their access in Venezuela that were taken by Chavez when he kicked their dirty and corrupted butts out of the country and returned the oil to the state

I bet the oil barons in the US are salivating as we debate Chavez death bed.

What logical fallacy are you referring to? The Utopian propaganda does not match reality. Donna Brazile got a rude awakening, but likely she will try to blame the Republican Congress for the failures of one of the worst pieces of legislation in American history.

Here's another newsfeed which stated a similar sentiment as the others...about the crime rate...

But the glow of his aura can’t obscure the country’s real problems, which include one of the highest murder rates in the world. More than 21,000 were killed in Venezuela in 2012; a further 500 were killed just in the country’s prisons. Venezuela suffered its worst prison riot in nearly two decades last month.

You do realize that privately-owned mainstream media in the USA will not tell the truth about Venezuela, right? They will try and make it look as bad as possible in the eyes of Americans. Have you ever been there? You should look elsewhere for your news if you want it to be credible.

venezuelanalysis.com...

Despite some private international media reporting “economic chaos” and that social missions have ground to a halt with President Hugo Chavez still recovering from cancer surgery, the missions continue working. Recently there have been advances in freely available high cost medicine and the development of the social welfare programs for children and the elderly, with all education and health facilities continuing to function normally.

www.guardian.co.uk...

Of course, the most important source of Chávez's continued electoral success has been the improvements in living standards that the majority of Venezuelans have experienced over the past decade: poverty reduced by half, extreme poverty by more than 70%, unemployment cut by half, a tripling of people eligible for public pensions and vastly increased access to healthcare and education.

I was talking about the article but since we touched the subject of Utopia, you do realize that the consumerist capitalism system is falling apart and it's going to be replaced by another model very soon. In our lifetime - soon.
The notion of a totalitarian socialist society is not working either so it's probably going to merge with other systems and ideologies and become a part of your every day life. You should start dealing with it now.

Venezuela’s Chavez in charge, giving orders: VP

CARACAS: Venezuelan Vice President Nicolas Maduro dismissed
rumours about Hugo Chavez’s health Tuesday, saying the ailing
leader was giving orders to subordinates who listen “with a knee on
the ground.”

President Chavez has remained out of sight since checking into a
Caracas military hospital eight days ago after two months of cancer
treatment in Cuba, fueling speculation about his health and ability
to lead.

Here's another one

There is no exaggerating the extent of Venezuela’s decline and fall. The wealthiest country per capita in Latin America is sinking deeper and deeper into what must inevitably be bankruptcy, as everything fiscal goes wrong. The result will be equally bad for Hugo Chavez, first elected president in 1999 and now in 2010 a full-fledged autocrat.

Declining Gross Domestic Product. GDP fell, according to government figures, by 3.3% in 2009 and shrank 5.8% year-to-year during the first three months of 2010, while all other regional economies were gaining. The International Monetary Fund projects a full year 2010 decline of 2.6%, putting the country with the largest oil reserves outside the Middle East in a worse economic state than Greece

Inflation in April, inflation totaled 5.2%, as reported by the government, and is headed for 50% or more on an annualized basis. (Economists suspect both GDP and inflation figures are understated. The running joke is that there are three kinds of statistical reporting in Venezuela: white, grey and government.)

No Chavez is destroying Capital in Venezuela. I am not surprised his supporters have it backwards though. I hope you are not thinking that the NWO which is neither Capitalist nor Communist but Globalist is the answer.... then you have fallen for the Hegelian dialectic...Antony Sutton says that the NWO is the synthesis of left vs right.

Why are you pulling up articles that are two or more years old? People have been predicting the economic collapse of Venezuela for longer than that but it has not happened yet. Those numbers are likely the aftermath of the 2008 Recession that saw the whole Western economy dip. They are completely irrelevant if we are talking about current conditions.

Yes, the irony is strong with this one.

Even if he made a public appearance, I'm not sure it would allay some people - body doubles and all that.

I demand a highly publicized DNA test to cast away any doubt!

Did you join just to post that gem of wisdom? I'd love to hear what you think about Kaddafi but this thread is not the place. Make some more posts and start a thread. I'll be there, pal.

You know what, i actually like debating with you

I also get you, i get where you're coming from, been living the same reality as you for the past 25 years. Especially at times when i buy an expensive leather bag (i'm a girl after all) but the euphoria doesn't last long. After a month you start noticing the cracks in the leather, it's not new anymore, then you read about a dead baby because of staff shortage at a hospital and one day you realize things can't continue the way they do. It's a bad world we are living in.

I am not a globalist i have seen the good, the bad and the ugly and they are three sides of the same coin or should i say pyramid.... I just wish i had the option of taking the blue pill like you guys.

Coincidentally, I've just been playing a video game called Mercenaries 2, which is set in Venezuela and where the player is tasked with essentially blowing the place up!

I think, from the tone of the article, it was more a show of willful worship, metaphorically speaking, because of their devotion and love.

I was livng there for 4 years and I can tell you it is worse than that. I left that place and was glad.
The elite there look only for themself. So we had often no watersservice no electric power etc.
The gas prices where so cheap. But you have to spend a lot of money to repair your car after driving
on all those big holes you find on the street.

Crime is the worst thing there ever.
