The Waiting Game: A Questionnaire Companion

Greetings, ATS!

I was completely surprised at the amount of responses to my the Waiting Game: Do You Feel It? Those responses have left me with a lot of questions. Hence this thread.

I would like to try and find any commonalities amongst those of us who “sense” (for lack of a better word) of anticipation. I feared that if I posted this in the original thread, it would quickly get buried. So the focus of this thread will be solely to look for possible connections between us. To share your stories about your own waiting sensations, please add to the other thread. Thanks!

Here is a list of questions I think would be interesting if we each would answer. If you can think of other questions to ask, feel free to add it to the bunch. We’re just gathering data, looking for correlations, while understanding that correlation does not imply causality.

2. Astrological sign: cusp of Pisces

3. Blood type Don't know

4. Highest level of Education Masters, working on Phd

5. Are you a lucid dreamer? Very much so

6. Any psychic experiences? Only one, but it was intense

7. Any paranormal experiences? A couple of strange experiences, but I hesitate to qualify them as paranormal.

8. Religious affiliation/ spiritual beliefs? raised Christian, now agnostic

9. Have you started any recent hobbies? tried to learn how to sew...its not going well

3. Blood type - A Neg, if memory serves.

4. Highest level of Education - Some college. Lots of certifications to do the craziest things.

6. Any psychic experiences? - All my life.

8. Religious affiliation/ spiritual beliefs? - Christian. Now atheist/agnostic.

I think the results of this will be interesting to see. It seemed quite a few people shared similar Briggs Myers, so it makes me wonder how much else there might be in common. Do you plan on compiling everything and doing a statistical analysis? Or is this just a fun way for us to see the things we have in common? Either way, I think it's a neat idea.

Well I see things when I have high fevers but I think that is just my brain boiling!

5. Are you a lucid dreamer? No. But I understand that if you write down your dreams as soon as you wake up, in time, you'll be able to control them better.

6. Any psychic experiences? Deja Vu. I used to chalk it up to the green but I haven't done that in decades. To this day it still makes me shy away from the people places or things associated with that feeling.

7. Any paranormal experiences? Not that I remember.

8. Religious affiliation/ spiritual beliefs? Raised Protestant, now spiritual. Nature based.

I don't know if my particular entry in the other topic counts as being someone who feels the "waiting" feeling. But...

1. Meyer's Briggs Personality - INFP

2. Astrological sign - Ophiuchus if you acknowledge the recent change. Otherwise, Sagittarius. (I don't believe in astrology personally, though.)

3. Blood type - Unknown at the moment.

4. Highest level of Education - Some high school. Attempted GED classes many, many times. Have been unable to cope with being surrounded by people due to Asperger's related social anxiety. (Public school and city college.)

5. Are you a lucid dreamer? - Semi. It's generally unintentional.

6. Any psychic experiences? - I don't know if I believe in psychic experiences. I have had what others might attribute to psychic phenomena, however.

7. Any paranormal experiences? - Same as previous question.

8. Religious affiliation/ spiritual beliefs? - Agnostic skeptic. I adhere to a form of humanism and unconditional love.

9. Have you started any recent hobbies? - No.

Some of the questions on that test are a bit constraining. I would like to take a more comprehensive test, than answer yes or no. The answer to some of them would be "Depends on the situation". But, the test is basically accurate.

I felt the very same way while taking that test. Is it only INTJ's that feel that way?

1. It gave me a few: ENTP, ENFP, INTP, and INFP

3. not sure about blood type.

4. dropped out of high school 2nd senior year

5. I used to have a few lucid dreams, but it's been a long while.

6. No profound psychic experiences. mostly picking up the phone right before it rings, or having a song pop into my head right before turning on the radio and hearing it there.

7. I've recently seen something in the sky that I don't have an explanation for.

8. I believe in reincarnation. ( not coming back as animals, or plants though )

9. I've recently started playing the drums. Also started sewing.
