Actually, the advertising metrics would need to be based off your surfing habits. While the server traffic would be sublime for ATS, there'd really be no owner control over WHAT was being advertised. Remember, we are family friendly here.
Multiply uncontrolled ads floating around by the average of 400 members logged online at any given time, and the lack of ability of the staff to edit your sig space, well, it becomes a logistical nightmare.
I'm sure ownership has other reasons, as well.
