I do believe i saw from reuters that there were no tsunami warnings issued, thank god.

They're usually out to sea a bit, judging from the shake map :
it's in mountainous terrain, hopefully its not close to a volcano, hopefully it isn't a volcano.

good deal, i guess! to be honest, i'm not well versed on the subject of earthquakes. i can't help but get that sense of "not again!" anytime we hear japan has had another significant earthquake.

will be watching for any updates, thanks for the info!

I really hope that this quake didn't cause any further damage to the nuclear reactors at Fukushima.

Should be ok



The Fukushima plant is on the coast farther east of the epicenter.

from this map you can see that the shakes were also felt in Fukushima...probably level 3 (Japanese scale)
