A decapitated body, wrapped in an American flag, found in Baghdad has been confirmed as that of kidnapped Japanese citizen Shosei Koda.

story.news.yahoo.com
BAGHDAD, Iraq - A decapitated body wrapped in an American flag and found in an insurgent-controlled section of Baghdad was that of a Japanese man kidnapped by Islamic militants, a Japanese official said Sunday.

Foreign Minister Nobutaka Machimura said in Tokyo that the government confirmed that the body found Saturday was that of Shosei Koda, 24.

An al-Qaida-linked group led by Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi showed Koda, a backpacker, on a video posted on a militant Web site Tuesday.

The group vowed to behead Koda within 48 hours unless Japan withdrew its troops from Iraq Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi quickly rejected that demand, saying he would not give in to terrorists.

Koizumi on Sunday called the killing a "brutal, inhuman act." He vowed to stay the course in Iraq.

"We cannot lose to terrorism. We must not yield to brute force. I believe we should continue to support the Iraqi people's efforts to rebuild their country," Koizumi told reporters.

A group linked to Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had issued a 48 hour ultimatum to the government of Japan to withdrawal its troops. The Japanese government was quick to refuse the request. Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi called the act brutal, inhuman act but vowed to stay the course in Iraq.

These Iraqi terrorsit are just enraging the entire world. With each hostage that is captured and beheaded, each country just becomes more involved in the fight in Iraq. If they think that beheading one member of an entire country will force their military out of Iraq, they are wrong.

Keep beheading and the entire world will keep on destroying your country, simple as that.

They are trying to get the world against America by basically saying "If you didn't attack us none of this would of happened."

I understand that is there intent, but with every hostage from a different country they take, it just makes it all the more...personal. You know?
