Submitted this at ATSNN, it should be up sometime soon... but in the meanwhile, let's have the discussion thread...

Doctors at Clamart hospital in France found that Yasser Arafat has a low blood platelet count, but doesn't have leukemia as feared a few days ago.

From CBC news... www.cbc.ca...

CLAMART, FRANCE - Hospital tests show that Yasser Arafat doesn't have leukemia, said the Palestinian envoy to France Saturday.

It's still not known what's making Arafat sick, but doctors say he's not suffering from a life-threatening illness, say his senior aides.

Arafat was admitted to a hospital southwest of Paris on Friday, two days after he collapsed at his West Bank compound and briefly lost consciousness.

Apparently his condition has improved... but if this illness caused this much alarm, one has to wonder how completely he will recover from it - especially for a 75 year-old man who has Parkinson's disease.

I pray he fully recovers. I also pray that he comes back to Gaza with a big stick and actually starts fighting terrorism. But how can his own past go unpunished?
