First off, I know that this article is from RT, and I know they tend to skew things to their advantage (which media outlet doesn't?), but i figured this was a good one to share.

"Anonymous thrown into China-US cyberwar scandal"
rt.com...

Now i know there are a lot of supporters of Anon's cause's and projects, but do we really know who or what these guys are working for? okay so they took down some nasty kiddie porn sites, and feel the need to release the login informations of bank executives, but are they starting to work with our own government to take down these chinese hackers? I thought Anon was hell bent on destroying our government because of its corruption and hatred of its own citizens? Also, what can we take away from what Sabu is telling the government? Is he working with or against them?

I dont really know if this is just Russian propaganda or not, but i would really love your guys input on this.

So Anon is in cahoots with our gov't now? Wow.... All this time I thought Anon was China or Russia.... This is just sad. For everything they said they stood for? Yikes.... Calling the kettle black, so then is Anon the US Gov't?

Anonymous made its own bed... whatever that may be. There's rarely an episode in history where criminals and pirates turn out to be much good for anyone but themselves. People who hack cyber property of others, are no better than burglars and thieves who happen to have a political agenda as an excuse.

you know, I have noticed that that specific question has been asked several times among several forums within the last year or so. are they just a puppet organization set up by some private company? by the CIA? do they really exist? I suppose that question just created several more. I dont really know....

Is it coincidental? Highly ironic, since they are working with our gov't. Can they take that ridiculous mask off now?
Some part of the CIA I could see as well.... I'm definately interested to see where this leads as now I feel duped for every watching even on of there...

We are Anonymous video rhretoric.... I will admit I was rather amused by the video's too~

Good and bad do not mix well together unless it was the bad pretending to be good from the start, trying to ruse the masses into whatever agenda it's trying to accomplish.

Another great scenario. We all know that anyone will do anything for the right price. Is it possible that the cia or a private company could just throw a bunch of money and immunity at them and expect the help? I think they could be bought. It simply goes against everything they had stood for, *up to this point*

who knows....

I think you've got the wrong idea about the principle behind anonymous.

I am anonymous, you are anonymous. Individually, we may have different goals and motivations, projects, and allegiances. We may come together when we agree, and diverge when we don't.

There is no anonymous "central command" dispersing specific instructions for action.

Anybody could claim an act in the name of anonymous.

possibly. but i think thats a cop out. Its not like Anon's causes have been secret. they are very open about who or what they are against. now dont you think that if someone from their collective is working against their own cause, it does not make them part of a anonymous. it makes them a rogue. I dont think they would allow this type of disorganization.

Dont get me wrong, i support most, if not all of their causes. I think that if they really wanted to (hell, maybe they are working on it as we speak...), they could take down any network they wanted, including more than just their ddos attacks.

The only way to know if someone is lying, is to look them in the eyes. Its hard to do that when the person you are looking at has a mask on...

You need to stop thinking of anonymous as an organized entity.

then how should i view them? as a bunch of individuals who all share a similar view on current social and political issues? what would you call that? a faction? an army? a party? a band of brothers?

More like a dynamic collective.
