CLAMART, FRANCE - Hospital tests show that Yasser Arafat doesn't have leukemia, said the Palestinian envoy to France Saturday.
It's still not known what's making Arafat sick, but doctors say he's not suffering from a life-threatening illness, say his senior aides.
Arafat was admitted to a hospital southwest of Paris on Friday, two days after he collapsed at his West Bank compound and briefly lost
consciousness.

Let's not forget, the guy is 75 years old, he's had a rough life and his living conditions in the past few years - especially since his confinement
to his compound - can't have been easy on his body. My thinking is that even though his illness isn't life-threatening, giving his age, the fact he
has Parkinson's disease and that his body is probably worn out, this event shows that it's time for him to plan his succession.
