The Expansion of Black American Misery under Barack Obama's Watch

blackagendareport.com

Black folks are not only far worse off “since 2009 under President Obama’s economic and job creation policies” – Africans Americans are the only group that “has taken a definitive step backwards since then.” The main reason: “lack of attention to employment in urban and rural geographic areas where Blacks reside.”

Here are two facts that may surprise many people.

As a black man, I see an article like this as a wake up call. The African American community simply worships Obama and things have gotten worse with him as President. This is not just a problem with Obama because the African American community are simply owned by the Democrat party. At the end of the day greedy Politicians in both parties are worthless. So when you walk in lock step with the Democrats blindly, you will just be an after thought.

Hispanics need to be weary because the Democrats are trying to turn them into the African American Community. Hispanics have some power now because these Politicians only do something if their seat is threatened. So Obama jumps for Hispanics and when the Gay community threatened take support away from him he got behind Gay marriage.

Blacks are seen as irrelevant because they're going to vote over 90% for the Democrat no matter what. As soon as Blacks start to complain, the Democrats send out Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson to black Churches to round up the Negroes. Here's more:

1. Black misery has been growing since 2009 under President Obama’s economic and job creation policies. Black folks participation in the labor market has been steadily moving DOWNWARD during the Obama presidency – since 2009 when he was first inaugurated.

The rate of UNDER-employment for Hispanic Americans has DROPPED from 15% in 2009 to 12% at the end of 2012. This represents an improvement of about 20%.

The rate of UNDER-employment for White Americans has DROPPED from 10% in 2009 to 8% at the end of 2012. This represents an improvement of about 20%.

The rate of UNDER-employment for Asian Americans has DROPPED from 8% in 2009 to 6% at the end of 2012. This represents an improvement of about 25%.

But the picture for Black Americans is in the opposite direction. The rate of UNDER-employment for Blacks has INCREASED from 16% in 2009 to 20% at the end of 2012. This represents a 25% WORSENING in the rate of Black underemployment during Obama’s first term in office from 2009 through 2012.

It's not so much that Obama has to DO something special for Blacks, it's that Obama's policies are hurting the middle class and poor and decimating blacks.

This is because Obama is about Redistribution of Wealth. HE TAKES FROM THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS AND GIVES IT TO THE WEALTHY.

All the talk about Obama punishing the rich is nonsense. Obama has made the rich richer and the poor, poorer.

Income inequality has increased under Obama. Corporate profits are at historic highs while middle incomes are dropping. The Fed under Obama is flooding multi-nationals with cheap dollars that they invest in emerging markets overseas.

Importantly, all the other racial groups whose members have similar education levels as Blacks are still doing better from Obama’s policies. Rather, the main the reason for this recent downward spiral in Black underemployment rates seems to be the lack of attention to employment in urban and rural geographic areas where Blacks reside. At the same time, as reported by Think Progress, “Corporations have been the overwhelming beneficiaries of Obama’s policies. Over 88% of all the dollars obtained between 2009 and 2011, 88% of national income growth, went to corporate profits, while just 1% went to wages.”

There's many problems with Obama policies and here's 2. Education and illegal immigration.

Vouchers help black children who attend some of the worst schools in the Country.

A new report from the Brookings Institution finds that school vouchers have a significant impact on the college enrollment rates of African Americans. The study tracked elementary school students who were offered tuition vouchers for private schools from the New York School Choice Scholarships Foundation. Overall, the study found that students who were part of the voucher program did not go on to enroll in college at a greater rate than students as whole. But the results showed that African American students who went to private or parochial schools under the voucher program were 24 percent more likely to enroll in college. And Black students who benefited from vouchers were twice as likely as other students to enroll in highly selective colleges and universities.

So overall, there wasn't much change but with blacks they were 24% more likely to enroll in College.

A 2009 study shows that illegal immigration hurts blacks.

The African-American unemployment rate is at 13.8 percent, according to recently released government figures, nearly twice the 7 percent jobless rate for whites. The nation’s overall unemployment rate is 7.9 percent. For Hispanics, the rate is 9.7 percent.

A 2009 study by George Borjas of Harvard University, Jeffrey Grogger of the University of Chicago and George Hanson of the University of California, San Diego, looked at 1960-2000 Census data and found that as immigrants disproportionately increased the supply of workers in a particular area, wages of African-American workers in that area fell, the employment rate declined and the incarceration rate rose.

“Our analysis suggests that a 10 percent immigration-induced increase in the supply of a particular skill group reduced the black wage by 2.5 percent, lowered the employment rate of black men by 5.9 percentage points, and increased the incarceration rate of blacks by 1.3 percentage points,” the professors wrote in the study.

At the end of the day blacks should play both sides because both parties are corrupt. Go to the G.O.P. and get them to move on vouchers and more border security and there will be a push for more votes for the G.O.P.

The BIG LIE that Democrats are helpful to blacks needs to stop. Clinton was great for the economy and I supported him but Obama is horrible for blacks and the economy as a whole so I supported Romney. Blacks need to realize these crooked Politicians only understand a NO VOTE and it isn't good when you walk in lock step with either side. Here's one last quote.

“An Obamapologist is someone who actively looks for every excuse under the sun to explain away questionable and harmful behavior that president Barack Obama does.”

How does one stop racism?

It's simple, you start participating in it.

The problem with these sorts of articles is that it serves only to divide Americans between themselves.

US Vs Them mentality. Blacks vs whites vs minorities vs etc..

Everybody in the US is having a crappy time, unless you are fortunate enough to own a fortune or two.

Almost HALF of all Americans do make enough money for basic necessities.

How about we address the fact that Obama/Bush etc.. and the current/past governments, have done NOTHING for anybody who isn't rich, in the last 50 years or so.

This has been going on for decades now, has little to nothing to do with Obama.

Bet Barack is laughing his ass off.

He's been around to many wealthy white men that he's become one of them, only problem is though, he's black and even black people who appear to be getting screwed by him still think he's the main man. Barack doesn't run America, the white business corporations dudes do

Win, win for Obama

Great post, OP. I have not seen a single way in which Obama has helped African American communities. Creating greater dependence in a system that is about to collapse largely due to his policies is not exactly "compassionate." One thing, though: He is doing it to everyone, regardless of race. We're all in this together.

I have noticed a growing number of blacks who are waking up to the fact that the current President is destructive. And a growing number of blacks who are rejecting "progressive" policies which have only made them tenants on the Federal Plantation.
American blacks were the initial experiment for these centralizer thugs. If you want to see the result, go visit the 7th Ward in New Orleans. Wear a bullet proof vest. It is the future for us all if things continue in the "progressive" direction.

Notice I put "progressive" in quotes because it is the ultimate Orwellian term for the ultimate Orwellian ideology. It is the most regressive, backwards policy one could have. Centralized globalism has been the dream for tyrants and authoritarians since the days of the Ziggurats (which also ran autocratic restributive scams to control the sheep)

Hey, it cant be racist for singling out just the blacks, it is everybody suffering under this crackpot. Or is it racist for blacks to think they should be able to call foul while the rest of us cant?

It as surged more than at any time in human history under the fiscal policies of Barack Obama. True he is on the same team as the Neocons and Bush. He has just outdone them in terms of destroying pensions and savings while amassing huge debt. And spreading a diseased ideology which serves the elite by pretending to care for the poor. Not one dependent in all of human history has had any political power. And they never will. Mr. Obama is well aware of this as he creates subjects out of citizens.

I agree with everything you said except the part about Clinton. African Americans loved him while he fervently worked to make the lives of working class and poor African Americans a living hell.

Not only did welfare reform adversely affect a lot of African Americans, it had a disproportionate negative effect on African American women who according to the lamestream media, would be the main beneficiaries of welfare reform.

The legislation called for a drastic reduction in the welfare rolls and states were responsible for kicking off as many people as they could. Many were trapped in a never-ending cycle of dead-end, low paying jobs often in the service sector away from their places of residence with very few benefits including health and childcare.
In other words, once they began to work and to earn an income, they ran the risk of losing some or all of their benefits. At the same time, the jobs did not pay enough to cover transportation to work as they jobs were often located in suburban areas away from urban centers. If the women resided in rural or small towns, the jobs often required having a car and some women could not afford to purchase and maintain one. Under the new legislation, women did not qualify for some benefits once they began to earn a certain income.

Finally, some women were forced to work or to attend school, but some of them did not have adequate childcare or they could not afford to pay for it. Women traveled long distances to work at this minimum wage jobs with few or no benefits while their children were often left alone, or, if they were lucky enough, with older siblings, neighbors, or relatives, if available.

Of course it has nothing to do with Obama. This is just sad. It has gotten worse under Obama and Corporate profits are at historics highs as multi-nationals are flooded with cheap dollars.

Here's an article from that bastion of conservatism the Huffingtonpost.

Each year, the world's greatest financial minds gather in Davos, Switzerland, to discuss the state of the global economy at the World Economic Forum. For the second year in a row, the Forum considers income inequality one of the most important risks the world has to battle.

In a series entitled "The Great Divide: Global Income Inequality and Its Cost," GlobalPost takes a unique approach to the issue, putting the state of economic inequality in the United States in a global perspective.

The results may cause us to rethink America's place as a global economic superpower. According to GlobalPost's report, the gap between rich and poor in the U.S. rivals that of developing nations, ranking America as a whole toward the bottom of the income inequality barrel. Among developed nations, only Chile, Mexico, and Turkey have higher income inequality than the U.S.

www.huffingtonpost.com...

This article is from January 2013.

Here's a graph showing Corporate profits rising under Obama and incomes falling for the middle class as Obama flood the "evil rich" with cheap dollars that they invest overseas in emerging markets.

" The African American community simply worships Obama "

How are you speaking for the entire African American community?

I personally worship no man.

Lastly I identify with the American community. It consist of many races whom share a common belief.

Honor, personal responsibility of ones actions, integrity, and family values.

Census may call me African American, but my friends and close associates just call me American.

1 thinks OP what you are sharing is related to some missing the Responsibility of the POTUS in General and associating Obama with Race First and not his responsibilities. With that it was observed (with SOME I do stress some) within the African American some felt Obama was going to make a magical change for some who felt he was associated with their race more then others... EVEN THOUGH HE HAS AS CALLED BLK&WHT genes/attributes. And since he didn't deliver some messiah type response to the African American Community only? he may be receiving more friction from the African Americans due to SOME of them feeling he was suppose to / are is supposed to do more for a specific group and not the Many he represents HERE...

So in essence some of those mad may have voted for the wrong reasons ect. Me I was happy to see the Americanas elect a different race individual because it signified there is truly Change going on here generation wise even if not observed. And in future as more Changes occur and even females are allowed this will show more progression perhaps.

NAMASTE*******
