The power of the Constitution is the only reason that we still have what rights we have... and the ONLY reason our government hasn't completely taken over our lives is the 2nd amendment... as long as the people have the right to bear arms, the people will retain the ultimate power over the government...

That's part of the Bill of Rights, which the constitution has been used to whittle away at little by little over the past 200 years (mostly through the commerce clause and the general welfare clause).

So yes, the second amendment is all that has stopped them from outright tyranny, so far. There are already something like 20,000 gun control laws on the books, but with the new "UN Small Arms Treaty" coming right around the bend, which our prez says he'll sign (if he hasn't already) they will need to squash the 2nd once and for all. I think the treaty gives a moratorium of six years to get all the guns out of American's hands. Then its Katy bar the door. Do you want to wait that long to start worrying?

I could not agree with you more. Yes, the 2nd amendment is in the Bill of Rights, but most view the Bill of Rights as an integral part of the Constitution. TPTB love to use "incrementalism" as a way to erode our rights a little bit at a time so as not to enrage the public... which is why there are 20k+ gun control laws... each provision is sold to us as being "for our own good". What the government needs to realize is that you can only push a freedom loving people so far. For the record let me also state that I currently like our odds. Current estimates place 310 million firearms in private hands in the U.S. Using relatively conservative math you can probably figure at least 10-20 million gun owners that are probably pretty OK with shooting anyone that tries to take them... I'd say we can raise a decent militia...

most view the Bill of Rights as an integral part of the Constitution.

I know most see it that way, but the BoR was only added after most of the states refused to sign the constitution without those guarantees so it was separate from the body of the document as written by the founders. Usually the distinction I make is to consider the Constitution as a manual on how to set the dinner table and the Bill of Rights as the meat and potatoes on our plates.

Up until recently..... I didn't believe that we the people could turn things around by money and human effort. But now I do believe it is possible. It would take the co-operation of a large group of people in one geographical location in order to work. I have given a fair amount of thought to the location that I live in and have devised what I believe to be a very feasible plan to establish a self-sufficient green economy.

Essentially as I see it we have two choices.... we either say the hell with it let the chips fall where they may and whoever survives can pick up the pieces and start over. Or we say ....ok we can fix this #....but we have to work together and we have to do it NOW !!!! While we have available resources and an intact economy we must rapidly develop and implement an emergency preparedness plan ensuring food and heating fuel for all citizens within a given area.

The answer to the food issue is the easier of the two issues to solve. For the area I live in ( Northern Maine) heating fuel is essential for survival. Right now a large percentage of homes and businesses use fuel oil to heat with. Since we don't have any oil wells and refineries here in our area, we have to have it trucked in.... that means if the trucks stop bringing fuel... someone is going to start getting very cold. Some of us heat with wood and that's great ...but there's a limited supply of wood... even up here. If everyone needed wood there wouldn't be nearly enough. Our forests have been stressed to the max...by the paper, lumber, flake-board and bio-mass industries. That means we have no alternative except to develop a renewable source of bio-mass to meet our fuel needs.

In my opinion..... the answer is obvious. We must plant annual bio-mass crops and put into place the necessary buildings and machinery needed to convert it into home heating pellets. Otherwise we are completely at the mercy of a merciless economic machine that is about to DEVOUR US !!.

This is just one small part of an overall plan that I have been dwelling on lately. As I said the limiting factor is getting a large enough group to work together in unity and having the financial backing to make it happen and happen fast.. Essentially we simply have to turn time back to when all necessary commodities were provided locally. We must re-establish localized farming and the industries needed to render the end products. We must also GREATLY REDUCE TRANSPORTATION FUEL NEEDS. Think hemp fuel pellet fired narrow guage steam locomotive as a source of public transportation. We have plenty of rail bed around here. Railroad is by far the most fuel efficient way to move things across land. We could easily grow the hemp necessary to run some locomotives. I'm talking if we want to do things right...I mean an economy that actually runs on what we grow!!! It is possible!!!

Personally I think its too late.

That was apparent back even in the 60's when Kennedy was assassinated.
If something was to be done, it should have been done then.
Kennedy was the last real politician with the balls to stand up to TPTB and he lost unfortunately.

Now we have an illegal - criminal - communist president who thinks he can do whatever he wants and doesn't believe any civilian should have the right to own a gun period.

Obama now has in place the means to patrol the USA with the US military, he can sanction hits on American Citizens deemed as terrorists, 60,000 drones and I guess he still wants his million man army etc.

Now If you stand up to the govt and rebel in a way that would be abrasive in that you demand change and the prosecution of congress you will be branded a terrorist and eliminated.

So please explain how you fight that.

Most people now are too complacent to try a true revolution like we had in 1776 and if marshall law is declared guns will be gone anyway.

The first step?

Stop the constant bickering, posturing, and chest-thumping against one another. Sun Tzu's writings have been around since, what, 600BCE? Just from looking around, the techniques work, except it's not the common man like you and me that it's working for.

The next?

I am in favor of organized strikes/boycotts, essentially the reverse of Atlas Shrugged. Prove to TPTB, who feel that they are SO critical to human life and are "too big to fail", that we've existed before without them and can do so again. Someone mentioned a fuel boycott, that's a great idea. Cutting off some niceties like cable TV service, and some of the other luxuries we are accustomed to would also send a clear message. It will take a great deal of personal sacrifice, and some people may lose their jobs in the process, but if you are really dissatisfied with the status quo and want to enact some real change, we need to get serious.

It will be a long, uphill struggle but it can be won with determination.

I know for a fact that it WON'T happen by sitting in our cozy homes insulated from our neighbors watching the sports channels and guzzling beer.

We need to be willing to help each other out - that's what TPTB do and look how far gone things have become.

Vote for who?

Do you honestly think that the entrenched interests in this country would ever allow the majority of seats to slip out of the control of the established two parties?

They act like they hate each other to the masses but it's all bread and games - behind closed doors they are clapping themselves on the backs and downing snifters. Did you see Romney's concession to Obama? Some people might say, "Hey, the guy has class and conceded gracefully" but what *I* see is Romney congratulating Obama for a jolly good production like it was the last take on a movie set.

A few independents and/or third-party candidates have made it through, but the exception to the rule is a weak argument - how big of a percentage of the House or the Senate has ever been held by them?

You cannot solve a problem from the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew.

Fighting the system from the inside might be the only way... The sad thing about is once you are on the inside you let your self by corrupted as well

We already know that voting will not change anything... What we would need is get together a group of Lawyers and Law professionals to start impeaching people from the local level all the way to the top... Placing those bastards on citizens arrest.
Still it will take a lot of effort that no one seems to want to start.

thanks frazzle and i agree, it is worth repeating ... so without further adieu ...
in light of our beginnings, it's kinda tough to 'take back' what we never really had, isn't it ?

ya know, reading through this thread is almost akin to watching a gladiator battle at the Colliseum.

whereas, the participants know why they are there (to put on a show).
and, since the audience paid a solid price for a good show, they are expecting to be satisfied.
it'll be a fight to the death, however, we'd like it to last as long as possible.
(we paid for it after all)

regardless who the 'favorite' is the audience will offer any suggestion to keep the battle raging on ... insult, encouragement, applause, tools, bargains, threats or whatever so long as the battle rages on.

it matters not who dies, as they already have someone to fill the spot so the 'battle' will rage on.

who lives is another story.
always has been.

strength, valor, integrity, matter not ... if you find yourself in the King's favor, you will survive (notice i didn't say 'live', rather survive)

and so, the battle rages on.
just never forget, the government will continue to find themselves in the Crown's favor, as our Treaty of origin assures it.

watch closely cause soon, if not already, the call for the Con-Con will hit the scene in full force.
just like in the early 90s (which failed by 2 states btw, 32 of 34 achieved
)

"they" are prepared and waiting.
if you doubt me, read up on "The Emerging Constitution" out in the mid-70s ... all that is needed to put it in action is the Con-Con ... (Con stitutional Con vention for those who haven't heard the term previously)

and what's worse are the politicians of today (especially the newbies) are led to think it's just a benign process used to change one or two things, that's all

what they aren't inclined to remember is that's exactly how the Articles of Confederation were suspended.

ppl need to be reminded of the chronology of the docs.
yes, the DoI came first ... we find these truths to be self-evident.
then followed the Articles of Confederation as we were independent nations agreeing to work together for a common good.
then came the attack of the British, then came the Revolutionary War, then came the TREATY which then via Con-Con became the first Constitution which was not accepted until the BoR was included.

however, the Treaty supercedes all and Americans wanting real change need to begin there.

To be honest I don't think anyone knows exactly how or even when, its just that we don't really have much of a choice at this stage of the game unless we're willing to wait until we have nothing left but pitchforks in our hands to demand change. Oh wait, how many of us even own a pitchfork anymore?

That's why the obvious first step is to simply stop feeding the beast, he's nourished by our fear. So when are we going to get over being so afraid of things that go bump in the night and accept the fact that no one gets out of here alive anyway, even after spending the best years of their lives on their knees kissing a bunch of clown's brass rings?

As mentioned a few times here already, first we need to arm ourselves with some TRUE knowledge and get the kids out of the slave training market called public education so they can learn it with us. All they need to be taught well is how to read, write and do math, the rest comes with experience and further "independent" study. Did someone actually ever think kids needed to learn how to put a condom on a cucumber? No wonder STDs are rampant on kids and not cucumbers. They are learning garbage and dependence on the system and they think that's what their parents want them to learn, after all, they send them there to learn it and demand they get good grades in it.

And so here we are .... looking back at some huge mistakes.

The only thing I ask is that if there ever comes a time when new rules are laid down, PLEASE make sure that any bar association members in the room are kept securely bound and gagged throughout the proceedings.

By waking up more, and realizing the world is like unto a mirror. Certainly there are corrupt ones taking advantage of us, but on the other hand, they are also our brothers and sisters and need to have a helping hand to swinging away from their negative charged awakening. They also need to drop their ISMS and programs, and contracts, just ask for forgiveness from them.

The world is a mirror, and when we see whats wrong in it, we see us doing bad things, or ignoring bad things. The ones who think they're in control at the top don't dirty their own hands. Its everyone here doing their bidding that is the problem.

So wake up, deprogram, go within, and strive to make your area, say a group of 3000-5000 people, a village, even its a village within a village, strong, and prosperous. There is nothing here you can take with you, so share, ideas, and money. example, why not get alternative businesses going and buy from one another? Why not create eco farms, ie. heritage foods, not GMO, aquponics. Why even 2 blocks in a city could do this in their back yards and basements and feed 5 blocks. They could be delivering food to shut ins, or single parents, and elderly on a weekly basis, not every 5 weeks like Salvation army. In fact, they can go further and actually get to know 3000 people, and find out how to help everyone into abundance. How to assist, ie. create businesses for the marginal ones, and if they're too frail, elderly, handicapped, or busy with round the clock feedings of young children, have volunteers to help run them.

Having people think of their neighborhoods, their towns, as a family and striving to nudge and assist everyone into abundance and love, would change the world.

Standing still and touching base with our soul, your light. Knowing you already are, so getting to know you, that infinite you, and getting to know your spiritual Parents and Family, your Source (not from a religous or ISM viewpoint, though I'm not saying to drop faith, just use discernment. What is real love, and what is control).

I would actually ignore them, except to invite TPTB to join us and stop thinking they are powers over us, for they're not.

And stand in the real power, our Light and Source and help one another.

And remember, they don't get their hands dirty, so stop following their bad ideas, unlawful legislations, or giving in to anything they come up with, usually after pulling off a big murder spree to gain control over more. Don't follow bad orders. Don't obey.

Ummm....Hang them from the yardarms or lampposts or bridges....all of the approaches into and out of population centers. Start with the politicians and bankers first, then work backwards from there until the whole nest of vipers is rooted out...excised like the disease they are...cut out of the race human. leave the bodies to swing in the wind until the flesh and clothing rot from them...until the bones begin to fall. Collect the bones and wire them together, lacquer and rehang them....let them serve as wind chimes...and warning...

Oh...right...you wanted suggestions...not screenplays...........Oops my bad
