Here's a few more from husband's gadget:
Major blowing off eave of garage...

This one has ORBS!!
I didn't notice them when I snapped the pic!!

And this one is our neighbor's house, taken between white-out conditions - probably where the orbs came from! (The structure in the foreground is our garage roof - where the blowing shot above came from)

Looks like, from national weather service, it's now blown over. Not too bad. A good foot of snow, though, I'd say!

Or...not.
Another batch headed our way for this evening. Wow.

C'mon Wildtimes, what's with that 5-6 story castle? I lived most of my life in the KC metro and never even heard of such a house. Further, what's that thing in the right-side background? It looks like a mountain - are you pulling our collective legs??

You snuck in a vacation photo, right?

I saw this once. In 1999. Blew me away. Never saw it before. Didn't think it could happen. In Canada at least. What a nasty storm. Came back from Toronto from a Leafs game(Not for me. I had a friend up here that's a major fan) and it was well underway as we were leaving the city. By morning 3 and a half feet.

It is one of the most iconic images in Toronto history – Mayor Mel Lastman with his first pumping towards the sky, riding in a tank with the Canadian army, not long after he called in the troops to fight one of the worst winter snow storms in the city’s history (left).

It was an impressive sight that has also proven to be one of the GTA’s most embarrassing moments in the national spotlight. It happened ten years ago this week, on January 12, 1999, after the city was hit with a disastrous dumping that was unprecedented in its scope.

Toronto was paralyzed by snow banks so high, they reached the second storey of some houses, covered bus shelters and brought outdoor sections of the subway to a frigid halt. Mayor Mel Lastman felt his only option was to ask for help and the army...

www.citynews.ca...

And this is Canada. We're used to that. You have thunder snow lock stuff down and have supplies on hand for a week. It's nasty stuff.

Yeah, it's the castle in Bavaria on which Disneyland was based......

my husband was there for military training a few years ago. It was his idea to say 'this is our neighbor's house'......

What part of KC, dude?
*bump*

I know, right? It only happens rarely.....
like I said, in my whole half century, I've only seen thunder snow 4-5, maybe 6 times....but it's unforgettable.
