I want not to be taxed so much that the Govt steals 30% of MY income.

If YOU want to pay more in taxes, nothing stops you. But, I guess that you need the Govt to direct you in this and YOU want everyone else to pay more as well.

Well it sounds a lot like you revere yourself as a being better then the whole, and that only YOU matter. By what you've said you clearly don't care about the population in a whole but just YOURSELF. Am I mistaken? Did my ears deceive me? I don't think so, unless your just going to back peddle on the last 2 pages of posts you've made. This is my assessment thus far: Self absorbed... end of assessment. But don't feel lonely 95% of America would fit into this category, in contrast why all other nations loathe us.

Your taxes are currently being raised by Republicans in congress.

For some reason I grossed $5.60 more for the month this Friday?? I get paid monthly and no insurance taken out anymore so I figured it would be different but More gross?? My payraise isn't till the next check and it should be abput $500 . $5.60 is just strange

Property tax is a HUGE load of crap. If you own your property, then why are you yearly taxed for owning it?

Sorry, but the Govt is out of control. It getting more money just leads to it wanting more money after that.

Actually property tax is the tax that makes the most sense to me. The more real estate you own, then the more you should pay to the local authorities. These taxes directly contribute to the township and have the least waste in them.

The higher you go, as with state and federal taxes, the more the corruption and waste. It is the federal government that is totally out of control. I think we should differentiate between local, state and federal as much as possible.

The twenty seven year trade deficit with china, the DOD black budget and constant wars are exactly what will destroy america. The trade deficit is in the trillions each year, the DOD black budget is anywhere between $200 bilion to $400 billion and the wars about a trillion per year.

SS and medicare/medicaid funds are constantly diverted to pay for the wars and to pay interest on the federal debt which is nearing $17 trillion as we speak. And oh I forgot the corporate bailouts which are the real entitlements. The same people preaching for self responsibility for the employee are the same people that neglect the corporate bailouts for the employer. If you are too big then you can never fail and if you are too small then you can never succeed.

Republicans and democrats are trolling the boards arguing nonsense among themselves!

Sorry for the late reply.

But I completely agree with you.

I personally noticed the increase. I am a union sheet metal worker. I drive over 120 plus miles a day to whatever job site we have work at. 30$ a week is a full days worth of gas for me.

I personally believe there is no fix to the current problem.

We need to go back to our grassroots constitution and do away with free trade.

But anyways I could go on and on.

I understand what you are stating and disagree, as that is the Progressive idea of "Fairness".
If you own the land, and paid taxes during the course of the purchase, then how is it even in the world of right or that it is okay that a person be taxed continually every year?

It is like when we have gone on Cruises. They say the price for the cruise is $1999. But, then you get hit with fueling surcharges, port fees, an automatic 15% paid for gratuity to the staff and then additional taxes.

It is a way to nickel and dime people to death.
If the county needs money, then a single source of revenue is to be established, not 2 blatant ones and 10 stealth taxes.

I don't pay tax every year for my TV, or computer.
