When I was an emotionally charged, wild at heart teenager, these are a few songs that would make me feel a bit better.
All Time Quarterback, which is Ben Gibbard who would later found and star in Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service.
American Football, a group sharing many of the members of Cap'n Jazz, who as 15 year olds among much else gave us this gem which is pure teenage
angst just thrown out off and over the moon, as only the early 90s could allow:
[Hey coffee eyes, you've got me coughing up my cookie heart. I made a promise to myself, a promise to myself.]
A song that lives in the memory of the frustration of being a high school freshman even when it's going good.
And this makes me laugh. Laugh used to be as simple and lovely as that pow wow.
And here's one by the same artist, to drift off into everything, or nothingness with. Whichever feels better at the time.
Anyone remember these songs, or some similar, from when you felt like that??
:]. I'll be a shoeless indie kid carving shortcuts in the city on my Frankie Hill Bulldog board swinging an acoustic in its case until I hit a rock
and have to bandage my bloodied hand at an oakland casino, for one more night.
Ouch... Why won't this week just be over with already. I've been in a right mood most of it and all of my music has been simply making things worse
(well, what else is hatebreed and skinlab supposed to do argh)..
and.. I dunno I skipped to the dude on the lawn having a go at some guys boots.. I wanna stomp him.. stomp him with a bare foot... yaaarghhh!!!!
one more day.. one more day... then it's the weekend.. sweet lay around in weekend...
doesn't help that it was raining this morning and 40c this afternoon, with a bucket full of muggy sweaty heat in between...
oh well, just thought I'd cheer up someone who might be more miserable than me... it only gets worse.
golly I wish I knew what it was like to listen to something and feel peaceful.
grrrrrowwllll
(actually that made me feel a bit better, huh.. how bizarre..)
