An enemy combatant is considered to be anyone armed.

But it do have to say these targets are ridiculous and very impractical. How often do you hear about a crazed pregnant woman, or child shooting off guns at the cops?

To me, this is simply just a tactic to help dehumanize certain groups of people.

The whole purpose why there are cut outs depicting people, is to have a soldier or officer cope with the fact they may need to shoot at another human being if their life was in danger. Because murder is not something most people are willing to do.

This just seems like the DHS and other government agencies really are in the early stages of something very sinister. The DHS have been buying insane amounts of guns and ammo for "training." And I guess shooting imaginary women and children is a great way to get some training done.

Do they have targets that feature an armed law enforcement officer?

Hmmmmm.

Forget a police officer target. They need to make a wall street fat cat in a suit, strolling around with a briefcase talking into his blue tooth.

Did someone say armed monkey??

yep, better start making targets for them, you just never know when you might encounter an armed monkey and you want to be prepared just in case.

No amount of rationalization or justification is going to change the real purpose of these targets.

Star and Flag.

the desensitization to shooting pregnant women and invalids

You forgot children.
And desensitization is exactly what it is all about.

But children???

It's not like they haven't done it before.

It's all perfectly normal...for a psychopath.

DHS sponsored eh ?? that's not overly surprising

however, upon reviewing the NMH series options, i was deeply disturbed to notice all of them are of a caucasion persuasion

so, are they insinuating that only average/every day ppl of a caucasion persuasion should be perceived as a 'threat' ??
if so, that is beyond disturbing, yet, good to know in advance

well, aside from the other subliminal training, i do wonder, where is the 'aggression' represented in these targets ??

especially when they are DHS financed, how do these targets enhance 'threat assessment' at all ??

Its seems like poeple are just loosing there minds. What kind of world are we creating? Moving away from "civilization" is starting to look appealing. We were never supposed to fear the government.

I agree with Max here.

If someone goes to the door with a gun when they know the police are coming then they are not properly trained to be using a gun and shouldn't have had one. Remember that's the issue we face here with guns...it's not the guns it's the people using them.

Yes, when they know the police are coming.

The increasing use of 'no knock' warrants and the fact that the law enforcement agencies have been known to serve them on the wrong address, has led to the deaths of innocent homeowners. People, including church pastors that were killed because they awakened to their doors being broken down and no accompanying announcement that it was LEO's breaking it down, and they had the nerve to pick up a firearm to defend themselves.

What SHOULD be happening here is that LE Agencies should be saying "No, we don't need targets of armed civilians because we won't be doing door-to-door warrantless searches and gun confiscations."

Bu they are to fulfill a DHS directive, and DHS is not a law enforcement agency. It is the equivalent of the nazi gestapo.
