I just saw some strange stuff outside...

The sky lit up a while ago. It's not lightning because there is no thunderstorm here right now, and there's no thunder to be heard. This morning it was raining really hard, but that probably doesn't have much to do with it though.

I'm inside the house, so I couldn't see what it was.

EDIT: 11.55pm There was just a big explosion a few moments ago!!!

Thats really strange Bandit. Did anyone outside see it? Could it have been a transformer blowing, or maybe heat lightning?

I don't know. Maybe the neighbours saw it too. But there were a few more in the last few hours. Streaks of light passing in the sky...

The last time I saw this was once while I was in the jacuzzi of a hotel some years ago... But I saw at least three tonight.

Strange..

Bandit -- any updates?

One of my friends who's an amateur astronomer and lives in the Bahamas said there were some unusual meteorites at about that same time that evening... sort of a "flurry" of nine or ten with a pinkish sort of trail.

She IM'ed some of her friends in Southern Florida, but everyone else was inside or not looking at the sky.

Well not much, only because it was raining very, very hard late last night/early this morning. With thunder and lightning, so any fireballs in the sky would probably go unnoticed...

The fireballs were fake...
But the rain was real. We've been having very strange weather these days...
