If people have not figured out by now the real reason by now. Here it is.
The United States has a giant air base with unlimited fuel. Right smack in the Middle East. In the 80's. it took 8hrs to fly to Iran. Now...we make a call like a chinese take out joint. Be there in 10 minute...

You really think for a second we are gonna give up a game changer like that?

I have plenty of clues, but you don't. Empire building on earth is becoming dangerous and futile. We invaded iraq and afghanistan and the american people got nothing in return. Gas prices tripled within 15 years when they were supposed to drop to $20 a barrel.

I also know we have been running trade deficits with china, malaysia, taiwan, korea, india for 2 decades now with no signs of hope. The government has sold out lock, stock and barrel to wall street speculators who in turn get inside trader information and make record profits on the backs of the gullible public.

The petro dollar is absolute bs! You don't make your economy strong by spending into oblivion for military campaigns and giving trillions in bailouts to business who offshore like crazy. You impose protectionist measures so you can collect the taxes that should be collected and people can be fully employed.

You sound like a globalist puppet to me and your veil is very thin indeed. Not fooling anyone!

The only one you are fooling is yourself. Look at the obvious. It seems a lot of people have been doing that for 10 years. Guess we got nothing out of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan according to people. But what we have is the most strategic Air Base in the world. Get a map out and look. It would be like China having a base in Mexico. If you do not take a militaristic view point of a military operation. Then you are only focusing on the smoke and mirrors.

this is why I can't understand why Mr Nobel Peace Prize Winner Himself doesn't just say "You know what folks? It was all based on lies so I'm shutting it down immediately." yet he doesn't.

I appreciate your self-insight, and I hear ya.
Lots of us already know, and have known for years, but new readers and those who entertained the idea but were always on the fence, need to see what was really going on. And I don't have any solutions how to fix it, cause the voting system isn't working, period. It is sabotaged, the media's bought, and we got at least 80% of Americans that are fricken clueless, and mindlessly supporting the monster. It sucks.

Agreed!

...And of the 20% who do understand what is taking place spend to much time criticizing each other instead of realizing that we need to stand together, collectively, instead of in little pockets. We need to all see the bigger picture and stand strong at the same time [being and become more organized], know that we are more alike than different in what we know. Leave our ego/s at the door when we come together, knowing that although we may be a minority now.. if we use our knowledge in a mature manner and as a group, we can be stronger and have a much better chance of being heard and understood rather than ridiculed by MSM as being something else entirely.

Well, Jay Rockefeller is a Democrat, so yes, but look, the Rockefellers have recently just merged with the Rothschilds, and Soros is a Rothschild operative. The Rockefellers have been involved in all sorts of sordid things, such as Margaret Sanger's American Birth Control League(now Planned Parenthood).

Just look at any PBS show and you will find Rockefeller, Ford, Carnegie funding.

Hence why a vote for a democrat is similar to a vote for a republican and vice versa. Same coin, different sides!

Why the heck do people not vote libertarian, green, constitution, socialist, communist? What is there to lose at this point? If the media says something is black then you should say white. We live in an upside down world in case you have not noticed. I am actually starting to believe that reptillians control masonry and masonry controls governments. America's problems are not unique, they are just concentrated there because the ptb wanted to invest there after britain, france and spain sunk into obscurity.

You are simply not being honest with yourself and/or me. The east posses no threat to the west. WE are doing the invasions FOR NOTHING! We are spending money, manpower for nothing. We are 16 trillion in debt because our economy has been bleeding from the globalist desire to impose trade deficits on america via asia. Americans have no jobs, taxes via tariffs are not being collected, other taxes need to be imposed to fund the welfare state which is the only thing preventing anarchy from taking hold, but wall street and the military industrial complex is happy because ONLY THEY GAIN anything.

Spend some time in reality land and give the brainwashing tube a rest.

while America was slowly being led towards this... it was my good fortune to be gettig an education via
experience...

This experience taight me many thing. Most of all it taught me that how a government will treat one person they will treat all.

I've no doubt that the op is correct because i came to that conclusion a long time ago. By the time I cam back online two years ago... everything I saw and read showed me that we were being led by people who were

Machiavellian in methodology, Hitlerian in tactics and intent and Orwellian as their goal.

I began to see this when i discovered how we treat the poor both in thought words and deed. Only a country intent on herd thinning would do something like that.ONly people who worshiped evil could do those things and make aprofit on peoples pain and play upon their worst fears.

I remember thinking on that day "Oh No here we go..." since that time I've seen this as a battle of good over evil.
Divde and conquer has been used from every angle to get the people to watch their most recent crisi they have concoted and turn their heads away from the crimes of the rich. It's obvious to me in 1000 ways..

Not sure we have a snowflakes chance in Hades. Yet as a person of aborrignal origin..I've far more faith in nature and the human heart than I do the ones playing their chess game with Satan.

Thanks for the op

Did Rachel Maddow write this article? I was just wondering because it doesn't say anywhere on the page who authored this piece. At least I did not find it. And its called maddowblog, so, is that her blog, or is it a site where she welcomes her fans to blog and comment? I haven't read the comments yet, but maybe there will be some info to be gleaned from them...

Thank you for sharing bud!

Iraq wanted to sell its oil away from the u.s dollar, so the U.S went in and wiped out Iraq's military to stop that from happening.

Yes, Rachel Maddow wrote the article from the OP, along with co-author Michael Isikoff - it was aired on her program Feb. 18th. The Maddow Blog is indeed her show's Web site.

While the subject of conspiracy behind the reasons for Bush's re-invasion of Iraq is not new, the topic in the OP is regarding newly uncovered Rumsfeld memos.

seriously, they suddenly start throwing around the word iraq straight after 911... they were gunning for a showdown

to be honest I agreed that it would be a great opportunity to get him out and spread our goodness to the Muslim world and my mantra was "give war a chance". I mostly came to that due to the fact "give peace a chance" hadn't seemed to have caught on, so I figured "well we put him in power so we're kinda responsible for him. let's take him out and liberate his people so they can build a better standard of living for themselves with all that oil money and then maybe they wouldn't hate us so much." boy was I naive! luckily I caught on to Ron Paul and his ideas on how to get us out of this mess and I love solution-based ideas no matter how "revolutionary" they may sound. I've come to realize that man really could be the last honest politician in DC and holy cow things are pretty f'd up in this world.

thing is since Obama's been carrying on those illegal wars and you'd think especially with his nobel peace prize badge and mighty pen he would end all these aggressions around the world. but he doesn't. why not? I don't get it

I know this may sound silly, but I feel that if one was in tune with their intuition back in 2001-2003, they knew something was wrong with many of the justifications and plans coming from the White House.

Later, I studied U.S. intervention in a more formal academic situation (University) and also traveled to several countries that historical intervention had occurred. It became apparent, factually, that the U.S. has often intervened in countries for geo-political or military reasons since the 19th century. The idea that we invade for humanitarian or self-defense reasons is nothing but a nationalist myth, one that is useful for politicians to cite in order to get the populace to support wars.

100% PROOF The Iraq War Was A Lie

Right after 9.11, there were a lot of emotions running through this nation. We were angry... we didn't understand any reason for any such attack. And to be honest, at that moment in time, there were none of that magnitude.

Our first response was to respond to those who did this to us. We trusted our government and we were ready to rain hell down on our attackers. Then... a funny thing happened. Dubya Bush redirected the nation to Iraq... which had no part in 9.11 no matter whose story you buy into.

We were screwed from that moment and destined to be hated... not because we did NOT have a reason to be angry, but because we were indeed, misled in that response.

Imagine that... one day waking to a plane crashing into Big Ben or the Eiffel Tower. It would have been another war that way from other nations but... the response would have been the same. We just got lucky, I guess.

Now as time has passed, the honesty of 9.11 has all but dried up. Even in the deep south of the US, very few believe the official story anymore. But, even so... we are still behind our soldiers and hope for a day when this insanity will end without selling out to a globalist clusterflick.

Tick tock

This is news?

To whom exactly?

Most Americans' response after 9/11 was to baah contentedly while their fuhrer despatched the stormtroopers.

They've been doing it ever since.

A more benightedly stupid collection of individuals has never walked the face of this planet.....TBH most of the rest of us are getting pretty bloody sick of it.

This evidence must have been known or at least suspected for some time. Is it possible to indict ANYONE for starting a war under false pretenses? I know I am naive, but what was the real purpose for invading Iraq?
