Video appears to show meteors coming in near Philadelphia:

With the big Russian meteor, the ones in Florida, the ones on the west coast, and now this...

Ahh, Houston...We got a problem you ain't talking about? Cause I'm really starting to wonder now. I sure as heck hope this all isn't a prelude of what's to come...

Or is this normal, everyday stuff? I can't remember ever getting so many reports of these, in such a short period of time. Maybe it's just that there are more people looking, and more youtube-aware people looking up with videos cameras. Maybe it's ALWAYS been this way, and we just haven't heard about it so much like this.

Umm yeah. MAYBE.

I see planes. Meteors don't "curve."

Second line because, second line.

There are a lot of theories but until they take a good look in the direction that the Russian meteor came from, I'm staying vigilant. Nothing to say that whatever event sent that 2m rock to Russia didn't send more fragments our way. Perhaps it is unlikely but I'd like to hear somebody say..... "we took a good look and can't find anything credible to say this wasn't just an isolated incident."

Not necessarily true that they are planes. Winds up there could easily bend and distort the smoke trails, or it might also be lens distortions on a cheap camera. Not convinced those are planes at all, but thanks for your opinion.

How about; far, far too slow for meteors?
A minute and a half and more. No. Not meteors

Just from watching the video I have no idea what it is but usually planes aren't scheduled that close are they?
it does look like contrails , weird either way..too many planes that "appear" to be too close together.

good find..whatever it is

Aircraft contrails.
NOT meteors.

Edit - I just took a look at the 'playback' function of flightradar.com, and it turns out there is a busy air traffic corridor running along the west side of Philadelphia, in a south direction (just like the video says) that easily accounts for the heavy traffic seen in the video.

Yeah, now that I could possibly agree with. They do seem to be moving too slow, compared to others. Thanks.

EDIT: but note the comments on the video- other people are claiming they saw similar in New York...Hmm.

I'm going with contrails, probably not from commercial planes though.

Perhaps a military maneuver?

Yeah. People see contrails all over the place.
There have been 3 or 4 similar videos (contrails) posted today alone.

What do you think they are Phage?
And before some smart butt says Chinese lanterns, swamp gas or high flying geese on fire, I'm thinking it's USAF maneuvers.

I'll go with the obvious. Planes.
I'll speculate and say a military formation. More precisely two, two ship formations.
Or not. The different length contrails would tend to indicate different altitudes.

I would like to extend a thank you for referring to them as contrails, which is what they are, as opposed to giving them the questionable names that people are so quick to jump to.
