Bronze age bigot?

So you know this for sure? Or are you stereotyping all the cardinals everywhere as bigots? Whether African, or no...

Surely some are indeed bigots...but you're stereotyping all of them as bigots. ...and that's just plain wrong.

Bishop Desmond Tutu, does the name ring a bell? I don't know what denomination he is but he is African! He is Black and he is/was a Bishop!

He's not Catholic and therefore not eligible to be Pope.

Here is a list of the cardinals

Only those under 80 years old can be elected.
LAST TIME I had hoped for Cardinal Arinze.
He's smart. He has common sense.
Side note and unimportant - he has black skin.
Unfortunately, this time he's too old.

But for those wanting to know who is eligible and who is from Africa,
look at the link I provided.

The point I was trying to make to the "childishly amused person" was that there are Black African Bishops/Priests/Cardinals which is why I qualified what I said - "I don't know what denomination he is/was!"

The person seemed to find it very amusing that there should be "African", read black, Priests whether they be Methodist/Catholic/Anglican whatever!

I find it offensive that some people seem to think that Africa is still in the dark ages!
