This meteorite belongs to the class of regular chondrites," the university statement said.

Grokhovsky said the rock in question was composed in part of metallic iron as well as chrysolite and sulfite.

Its iron content was estimated at 10 percent.

"We confirm that the particles of a substance found by our expedition near Lake Chebarkul really do have the composition of a meteorite," RIA Novsosti quoted Russian Academy of Sciences member Viktor Grokhovsky as saying late Sunday

about time they found something
apparently its tiny

from when it exploded and scattered pieces
near the lake

that link is very informative for an inital report

but its nit sitting well with me yet
lets see what else is said

Nice find. So now we may have an answer as to what this thing was made of.

I think his confidence about a larger piece is misplaced:

Grokhovsky said the tiny rock's find came in the snow not far away from the lake. He also expressed confidence that a much larger meteorite was buried in its waters.

Just finding relatively small pieces of various sizes would be pretty typical...so it would be pretty unusual to to find a "much larger meteorite" depending on what he means by that. I figured they would probably find small pieces eventually...especially since the ground is covered in snow.
