Many people believe they can run a business, but in all fairness, they have no idea what it takes and that's why so many fail...

So true. My comments were addressed more to starting a business that actually produces something. Thats not an insult, I commend you on your business. Information Technology will be a boom for some time to come. But you can't eat, grow or wear it. It is volatile, dynamic and prone to obsoletism (here today, gone tomorrow)...

Personally I grew tired of that computer world a long time ago...

What if I'm happy, what if I'm comfortable, does that make me a slave too? I love my life right now and to call it slavery would be a slap in the face to everyone who ACTUALLY suffered slavery...

I get what you're trying to do here, but I also don't get it...

Those diverted funds going into the MIC helps to ensure the dollars we get are still worth more than a peso.

The new media outlets are online. Don't expect the truth to come through MSM any time soon.

Why so? Care to explain why?

Yea, luckily for me, I saw zero decline (but rapid growth) in my sales figures during one of the worst economic times we've ever seen. Companies will always need IT to keep their business going, so in way, IT is never going anywhere
I'm just fortunate that I found something that I'm good at.... I enjoy IT, it never grows stale and it's constantly changing every 3-6 months, so there's always something new and better just around the corner...

This is what the courts are for. Every damn thing doesn't have to be legislated. Bring your grievances to the courts.

If a hotdog stand owner causes his customers to get sick, how many customers will go back to him.

He will be out of business. Either one of his customers will take him to court or people will stop going back to him. If he doesn't take care in having good health practices then the whole purpose of him being in business would be for naught. He will lose everything.

While everything wasn't all rosy in the past, the conditions allowed people pull themselves up. The bottom 10 rungs of the ladder have been knocked off thanks to the government. Then we wonder why there are so many homeless people in certain cities and people on welfare.

Well for starters the pentagon spends a lot of money in "public relations" with MSM.

Besides that, you would need a ton of $$$ to get a network started these days.

If you have that much to spend, your agenda will likely not be for the people.

Last, I would think even getting through the FCC and whatever other red tape there is for the process would disincentive most people from even attempting it.

Basically, unless you play ball, you won't get air time as a news agency.

It makes much more sense to ride the wave of younger internet users seeking information online, and establish superstar networks online.

BTW, if you were referring to the connection between the MIC and the value of the USD, the answer is simple: PetroDollar.

Our superior military is the only reason we have established so many trade policies for commodities in USD around the world.

Without this constant outsourcing of our debt, the USD would lose credibility, and realize a much lower value than it currently stands.

So many people start up something new and have to sell...or go out of business!

The trust is strong. The same is true with networking.

To be honest I stopped giving a # about computers about a decade ago. It is quite an over-rated field as well.

Well, I know a lot of people who get burned out by IT, but for me, it's all fun. Reason being that I sell solutions. i'm not some IT engineer/technician who has to constantly understand the ins and outs of everything that's IT... I just sell solutions and I have my "techy" guys handle the truly complicated stuff

And I'm still young, maybe Microsoft is after me now... If I never sign onto ATS again you will know what happened to me... Please tell my story....hahaha

Actually the MIC is what will cause the collapse of the USD! The constant wars based on bs have taken their toll on the national debt and we are nearing collapse. A strong military spread all over the world means jack # when we run out of dollars to spend and tax collection becomes impossible. People who do not work cannot pay taxes and thus depend on handouts to survive.

Pushing nations around on behalf of israeli interests can only bring hate and hate eventually brings doom. The MIC will be the downfall of america and it should be very obvious to any sane person. It diverts money away from social welfare programs, diverts money away from NASA that can deal with space threats or even explore our solar system and provides NOTHING IN RETURN! Sure if you are an inside trader like dick cheney or other congressional scumbags then yes to those folks the MIC is important.

You are not a good person I have to say. Quite selfish and short sighted. The best way to save america is bring back jobs to america by raising tariffs. Companies will be forced to come back, people will go back to work, taxes will be collected, the debt will be reduced.

The petordollar is a myth. Plain and simple. We don't have to be friends with anyone for them to sell us oil since the oil prices are traded in dollars because america used to strong industrially. We do not have a manufacturing base anymore and that is what should worry people. Forget the military which is way overbloated and a total nuasance not only to the world but for the average american as well.

Sincerly!

So we are a tribe then? A man may not be entitled to shelter, but should he not be at least entitled to sleep on the land his forefathers conquered? Society says no. As a homeless man, what are your options? Jail or a shelter.
edit on 17-2-2013 by spqrenki because: (no reason given)

We are not a tribe, though we are a group of humans like they are under the same guiding principals of organization. And no....you are not entitled to things everyone ALWAYS worked for. As a homeless man, take advantage of social programs that give you a start and work your way back up from rock bottom. People have done it. They were not alcoholics or drug users though. That would be a huge set back.

it is no excuse.

EDIT:
Also there is not an inch of land that wasnt someone else´s at one point that was taken by conquest. NOT ONE PEOPLE OR AREA OF LAND EXEMPT. That is what happens when a nomadic species begins settling down.

We have only recently, historically speaking, settled down anywhere. For about 90%+ of our existence we have been nomads....

edit on 17-2-2013 by zedVSzardoz because: (no reason given)

The thing about these social programs is that they don't require people to earn their subsistence. While some people may use it as a way to better themselves other people will just use it.

For example, yesterday I went through a drive through. A man approached my vehicle and asked for some money. He basically said, I was in a shelter and they kicked me out. I do not want to rob people. I am asking that you give me $10. I was going to give him some money anyways, but $10 heck no. I gave him $2. Which is probably more than he wanted.

Now if this man had something that I would have bought that would have been much better for him to improve his situation. He could acquire something people want to buy and stand out there all day in the cold and sell it, instead of standing in the cold to beg. He probably would be a richer man selling flowers/newspapers/candies, etc.

However, he can't do that. Instead he would need a Peddlers License, which is $125 where I live. If he doesn't acquire this and a set location to sell his wares, he is on the wrong side of the law and can be shut down on any day. I see people selling all sorts of stuff on the exit ramps of highways here. I do not know what process they go through, but it is usually flowers or newspapers or bottles of water when it is hot.

So basically, sensationalism that has no basis in reality. Check.

I thought it was the nanny state that was dooming us all. Strange. It most certainly provides a lot in return. re: petrodolar

You are free to your opinion, but it is not accurate, or evidenced in what I speak. I don't disagree with your view of raising tariffs.

This is a lie. The petrodolar is an established fact, with history to prove it.

The main problem is some people think they deserve more, or higher wages than other people, that is when things become unbalanced.

Example CEO's getting $300 million bonuses, off of the sweat of many people.

Rich become richer and the poor, or those who have less think they need to work more hours, but when in fact the people with more money are taking a little bit of many people's sweat equity.

People need to wake up and demand equality, but the fact is with large corporations they wouldn't know where to start or how to do it.

Hell in the USA we don't even have control over our government.

Well, sometimes Person A deserves more money than Person B... If I'm selling a $3 million EMC solution to a fortune 1000 company, I do believe the commission I'm earning off that deal should be more than Joe Schmo who is flipping burgers at McDonald's... So what you're saying is very apples to oranges, unless we're talking about two people working the same exact job with a close background/experience...

And I will never be a fan of socialism... I do believe people are still given EVERY opportunity here in the US to make whatever they want of themselves... You don't need to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to find success here in this country, cause I'm living proof of that... Hard work and dedication can go a long way

Thanks for this great topic. This subject is near and dear to me because I did walk away from it all. I have made a thread on it as well. People in Western societies DO voluntarily submit themselves to this form of slavery because it has been taught as the "normal" way of life, without ever knowing or experiencing anything else. The lifestyle has been spammed on television and taught in school as the way life is supposed to be...

As to what to do, as people always ask.. Take personal responsibility for your life. Don't keep flowing with what you are told to do..
- Stop paying taxes
- Don't conform to all the laws and paperwork
- Don't own a credit card
- Get out of that environment

Of course, doing these kind of things means sticking your neck out, if a person even makes it that far.

Thing is, people are too distracted with entertainment and "stuff" (gadgets etc.) for them to care enough to want change. If change means a systemic crash, who on Earth would WANT that?

And of course, if people DO wake up, have a change of attitude, then that means crash as well because the illusion is gone.

Any way I look at it, a crash is coming, so it's better to learn to be a free man than a slave.

Wake up how do you put a price on nature and its materials? Look around you everything you see whether it’s made by Human intelligence or not was given to you by nature’s materials the materials from this planet and universe. This planet will not run out of minerals and materials for who the hell knows how long and by the time it does we would be mining # in the universe anyways. So I don’t get it why are we paying to live? When nature has a unlimited amount of minerals, materials, supplies and even water in this Universe. They came up with a system that would create the rich which creates power which creates control which creates laws which creates slavery and problems.

They came up with a system to exploit nature to its fullest by putting a price on it and life itself. We are the superior beings on this planet and we are the ones who should be realizing this we are the only ones who can fix this. Intelligent beings would understand that we are all once race, they would understand that if you work together as one there would be no problems, there would be no such thing as world hunger, there would be no such thing as rich or poor and the powerful we all can have the same exact things as there is no limit to the amount of supplies in this universe we are equal and we are one. We could ALL be living our lives to the fullest evenly, we should be bettering ourselves as one single race working together advancing ourselves trying to find our place in this vast universe and to better the future of our race.

The fact that you pay for knowledge is a joke let's not even talk about how dumb, selfish and ignorant that is. Give me $80 and ill tell you my name.

We shouldn’t need a controlled exploited system of nature we should be able to get along because we are all the same #ing race. All we are doing right now is slowly destroying ourselves and this planet as we go and we are currently facing a very serious future.

Anyone who pays to survive is a slave it's a slave system face the facts. Stop paying all your bills and watch eventually people will come looking for you and take all your # away because they don't give a # about you your a slave to the system your nobody all you did was pay taxes to make the company (government) more money to pocket and spend on all their top secret black projects.

Face it the government is literally a company which created a system that is currently butt #ing all of us and laughing because there ain't # we can do if we try to fight back or make it a better system say hello to a coffin or your new cell mate... hell may as well consider yourself a rebel or possibly even a terrorist.

Government is raping the universe for everything it's worth which is nothing it's total bull# we will never ever not in billions of years run out of supplies.

Theses laws control all of us and make us slaves. Go try to protest with no permit... what a stupid joke.
Your social security number is like a barcode more like a slave number.

If we were in a war in our own territory the government would all go hide under ground in their bunkers while we the public are being killed off with our military because they don't give a # us because we are pawns(military) and slaves(public civilians). With all the billions of dollars into theses bunkers the public has no access to any of them in case some sort of disaster or war happens...wtf is that about...oh right we are not needed and worthless people.

Face it the governments a company ruling us all and laughing at how they have been able to get away with it for so long.

I just don't even understand how millions of people have come and gone in this world and no one had the balls to stand up to the government... I wonder why....

I know why I don't have the balls to stand up to the government I'd probably end up in jail or killed by them for even trying. In less you have the entire population of America by your side there's no #ing point you won't win you have 0% chance.

Seriously your considered a threat just being next to the White House fence and yet your just a normal American civilian oh wait I meant normal American slave. Back in the day the White House was raided by the people because they wanted change if we did this today everyone who jumps that fence is totally screwed you are not going to even get close to getting inside.

Most of us are the African American slave woman with more freedom but not much lol.

If your filthy rich all this is a totally different story.
