Reptillian Agenda in a Simpsons Episode

I was just watching sky one, and a halloween special simpsons episode. In it, reptillian aliens(Kang and the other) seek to enslave the world, then they both shape-shift and run for the elections against each other, and when Homer exposes them, they turn into aliens, and say "you have to choose one of us" I am pretty sure the writers been reading Ike's books
It's funny, in a scary kind of way

Well, they could have been reading Ultimates by Mark Millar. He had the Chitauri in it, and they're supposed to be shapechanging reptiles. That's more recent than David Icke's books.

they do a lot of parodies on stories and movies.
They did The Raven a bit back.

Kang and Kodos would really be stretching it to call them "Reptillian"...they're more akin to Lovecraft's Cthullu than anything, hehe... (for those who never saw it, they are one-eyed, multi-tentacled green beings with clear bubble helmets). But, the agenda, kind of a metaphor for two bonesman running, not mattering which gets elected, well, that was pretty cool to see.

"I voted for Kodos", hehe....priceless...
