I find it ironic that you criticise England's health care system.

As for any other point you make....apart from having very strict gun control laws ( I say this because it's not illegal to own gun's in England, it's possible to own them legally ) I'm pretty sure there could be a comparable list of wrong doing's by the American government and I don't see anyone out on the street waving gun's at them.

errrmmm so yeah....what IS your point?

So were Hitlers gas chambers!!! An invention to kill millions of people, now did the gas chamber kill all those people or the people controlling the gas chamber>>?? That is how it is a logical fail... When presented with facts as the OP has laid out all anyone can come up with against it is guns bad people with guns bad (unless its a government official) then guns gooooood.

If you have a point that you’d like to back up with stats then DO SHARE. I won’t just take your word for it!

OK, First,

lets Compare Canada VS its own Provinces(ones with high firearm household and with no or very less firearm per household). This is to prove that even within a country with regulations, area with high guns will result in high gun deaths.

Canada VS Its own Provinces:

The above chart mainly describes that the gun violence is high in areas(Provinces within Canada) with high household firearms.

In spite of the attention focused on urban crime, there are higher rates of gun death and
injury in rural areas For example, Northeastern Ontario has gun death rates which are twice the provincial average, driven largely by higher than average suicide rates but also by increased rates of domestic violence with firearms and firearm related accidents.

Canada VS USA and other industrialized countries.

Research has shown that when other factors are held constant, gun death rates rise in proportion to the rate of gun ownership. One study found a 92% correlation between households with guns and firearm death rates both within Canada and in comparable industrialized countries.9 Other studies show increased risks associated with keeping guns in the home: Homicide of a family member is 2.7 times more likely to occur in a home with a firearm than in a home without guns.10 Keeping one or more firearms was associated with a 4.8-fold increased risk of suicide in the home. The risks increase, particularly for adolescents, when guns are kept loaded and unlocked.

Second, Canada Vs USA.

Some claim that more guns will make us safer. In fact, where there are more guns there are higher rates of gun death and injury. A terrible irony is that both in Canada and internationally where there are more guns there also tends to be more opposition to gun control.

Higher guns = higher gun death, its simple.

Guns do kill people, they are designed just for that, and that only.

Name another use for a gun?

Guns are an invention that has killed millions of people, don't kid yourself.

How about I show you some pictures?

I am not denying those where all killing machines. You however seem to be denying that the gun is a killing machine. Saying people are the problem is half right, they are half of the problem, the other half is how easy it is for the wrong person to aquire a lethal killing machine. You are never going to fix people, there will always be people who go insane, it's just part of nature, however guns are not and they are designed to kill, and should be controled.

You are the one who has a logic fail my friend. Going on about Gas chambers and stuff, i don't know why you brought that up, i have never denied that they were made to kill, you don't see people asking for gas chamber rights do you?

So you left a bunch of loaded guns out in the open where anyone could have picked one up and shot you in the face and because that didn’t happen it proves that guns don’t kill people.....

That was just dangerous it was never going to prove anything, Guns kill people but so do people, it is the person that pulls the trigger but its the gun that pushes that bullet out and into some unfortunate fellows face.

The whole “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” is just a gimmick it has no value as a legitimate argument.

I am no gun grabber by any means but dude, seriously, what you done today was just stupid and was never going to prove anything.

So we ban all hammers because thats what ignites the bullet?
A gun is basically a mechanical hammer.

Inanimate objects do not make choices.
Do guns go to prison?

So true,
This has to be the most self fulfilling thread I have ever seen, and far from intelligent. I sincerely hope a mod will pull it soon, but that's up to them.

WOW! Thanks for the S&F!

Put it a different way, did the OP get a proof positive from any of the gun manufacturers, that a gun could not fire spontaneously, I don't think so, (the proof positive, that is) that would leave them open to all sorts of stuff, real or imagined.

So you want a more scientific study that a gun can fire itself? REALLY???

I think the OP has taught us all a lesson.. Guns are only deadly if used for their intended purpose.

Also, violent crime in the US has been on a steady decline for DECADES even as gun sales rise. Explain that!

Here is something to think about. Fewer gun owners own more guns.

Those were not killing machines they were USED AS killing machines.. A gas chamber is just a gas chamber until you start stuffing people inside of them, turn the gas on and let the genocide begin... An oven is not a killing machine until you start to stuff people inside of them alive and turn the heat on.. The logical fail is that guns are killing machines when in fact as the OP has proven they are not.. They are mere pieces of metal. They only become a mechanism for killing when someone uses it as so... A wood chipper is not a killing machine until you start to lob living people inside of them....

Yes, indeed misleading interpretation, or unintelligent and stupid one.

Cigarettes dont kill people, radioactive cloud dont kill people, GMO dont kill people, TNT exploding in your face dont kill people. Thats indeed the same argumentation. Who dont understand, well you are in second group of my first sentence.

Lets ban TNT

I would love to see the average IQs of gun owners vs non gun owners, the fact anyone finds this amusing or compelling says alot

Your not serious are you? You sincerely think that IQ's have correlation to gun owner's?

How about less criminals with guns and leave the innocent people out of it. Remember the first murder was done by a person using a rock.

Those stats don't carry over to the US.

The stricter the gun laws here the more violent crime.

If you want to start a thread about the reality on the ground in Canada then go for it, but Canadian stats mean nothing to me because I'm 'Merikan.

Also, you can't unlearn something that's already learned. Guns were already invented and you can't make them go away.

It brings a bad name to "research" or "comparison". Something the gun owners have trouble understanding..

Car vs Guns? lol really?

Gun down kill people, people kill people, so would a monkey with a gun.

The people make it easier for the criminals to do their crime.

I see people tossing "Law aiding citizen" around.. all the mass murderers were law abiding citizen at one point too, that you are trying to protect. What if the average law abiding citizen all of sudden turns into a criminal(due to personal reason)? oh right! at that point we can divert the attention by blaming pharmaceuticals and ultra government black projects...

You might be living in a fantasy land thinking all gun owners are responsible people who keep their inner instinct hidden and under control.

Less gun/strict control = less gun related crime, its logic.

Check other countries with no gun or are you gonna pull up other crime statics saying "hey look crime.. happens.."... compare apples and apples, not apples and watermelon.

Yeah... and other country's have all so had their rights stripped away because they wear not able to defend them. Just look at history, it might not happen now but today's law effects tomorrow.

They are though, are you denying that guns where invented to kill people? Guns got invented as a new weapon of war, they are not desgined for anything else other than killing things. Yes, people may use them for sporting reasons today, but they was not invented with that in mind, only killing as many enemy soldiers as possible. That is a fact and is not really debatable, but go ahead and try if you like, you wont get far.

All the OP proved was that people are not as insane as many make out, they stayed well away from the killing machines which is what we want to see, it's just a shame they didn't report them to the police, leaving deadly weapons around like that is a stupid idea.

What if a young kid got hold of those weapons and hurt someone or himeself, what would be the problem there? The deadly weapon or the little kid? Don't talk about logic when you clearly don't understand what logic is.
