So you left a bunch of loaded guns out in the open where anyone could have picked one up and shot you in the face and because that didn’t happen it proves that guns don’t kill people.....

That was just dangerous it was never going to prove anything, Guns kill people but so do people, it is the person that pulls the trigger but its the gun that pushes that bullet out and into some unfortunate fellows face.

The whole “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” is just a gimmick it has no value as a legitimate argument.

I am no gun grabber by any means but dude, seriously, what you done today was just stupid and was never going to prove anything.

I have yet to hear of any guns in prison? If guns kill people why are they not in prison? BECAUSE it was the person behind the gun that killed. It is only a tool. 1 out of a thousand different types of tools "people kill " with.

American gun culture has very little to do with ownership of weapons. American gun culture is about promoting, profiting from and forcing weapons into the public's mindset. This goes far beyond the basic legal right to own a weapon. I don't remember ever hearing anything about the constitution saying it's a great idea to have a dozen gun magazines on every news stand. I don't remember anyone being given the fundamental legal right to put gun adverts for assault rifles in magazines which have nothing to do with guns. I don't remember the founding father's having a vision of the future where guns are forced into people's consciousness by corporate industry as lifestyle objects or talismans of patriotism.

Who reads magazines?

I’ve never seen a gun commercial on TV! Do you live in 'Merika?

Why is it a good idea to fill people's heads with a profound obsession over a material object that was designed to kill?

Noboy’s head is being filled with guns….show some proof or cease and desist.

What does current American gun culture have to do with the constitution? Practically nothing.

The same thing its always had to do with the constitution. ‘Merikans enjoy their firearms and their RIGHT to keep and bear arms.

Do you have a point?

Oh, this one?

Yes, read the last part of my previous post that you quoted. I said the second amendment is designed to secure American’s right to bear arms to KILL PEOPLE if need be.

Should I apologize? That's not going to happen!

OP - take this guy for example. Several seconds into talking about guns and he's already living out fantasies about shooting up his neighbourhood. Look at the mentality your posts are encouraging?

Maybe he was proving a point…

If I take him at his word, I would believe this is more reason for me to own a firearm. I don’t want someone with that mentality stalking my home…do you? How would you defend yourself against him if what he says is accurate; police take on average 10 minutes to respond?

I would shoot him if he entered my home. What would you do? Would you pull out your knife or bow and arrows? Would you TALK him out of killing you or raping your wife or stealing your property?

Ask him what his answer would be to your weak pleas for mercy….

He was proving a point. He was proving the point that he has been raised in a culture which encourages him to have violent fantasies about how many people in his neighbourhood he could kill with a gun if he felt like it.

But, I see you will also quickly resort to violent fantasies to justify your obsession with a material object.

This type of thread is designed to put the image of guns into people's head. It's not about protecting rights. It's not about the constitution. It's not about personal defence. It's about *advertising guns*. And you are obviously perfectly happy to use violence to enhance that advertising.

fairytale land people forget there are bad folks in this world who would love to slit your throat and laugh while you drown on your blood if they got the chance...

pulling the trigger isn't always a bad thing... in fact there is multiple reasons guns exist in the first place and to those people who say these are different times, yeah you're right, they're becoming a big brother technological nightmare, the new predator of our day...

the reasons for having guns far outweighs the reasons not to..
maybe the circumstance for owning them needs to change but not the right to..

He was proving the point that criminals PRAY for the day citizens are disarmed because their work will be much easier.

It’s OK to play stupid or play devils advocate. People here are smart enough to see the game.

The only game is the one that went on in your head when you thought it was a good idea to post pictures of your dozens of weapons on a conspiracy forum (no doubt read by many children). Is that what passes as smart now?

just funnin with ya..i think you would be in more trouble walking down the street with a sword than you would a gun..lol

im still waiting for an explanation of hawaii's low gun crime and how their level of gun regs/control have nothing to do with it..im just playin here im not a gun grabber, have all you want but be responcible.

what troubles me most is hearing about children killed by a parents weapon or a friends parents weapon because the owner didnt store them properly

You mistake satire for reporting.

Read this post.

Not many kids on ATS...and viewing weapons isn't like viewing porn...maybe in UK it is.

No, my experiment proved that guns don’t kill people.
I spent several hours under ideal conditions and nobody died. That’s a fact!

You are quite correct.....guns don't kill people.....people with guns kill people.

Your experiment proved nothing.

That's another fact.

Are you a person?

So you’re saying that if I gave you a gun you’d kill someone?

That’s what I read….I'm following your logic

The only thing this proves is that Newton was right and an object at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon an outside force... and that you are an irresponsible gun owner if you left a loaded weapon on your porch.

OP,

I would clean your rifles free for a year, after you came home from the range, just for your post.

Hats off!

Haha, maybe America should of thoght about that when they decided to stick their nose in everyone elses business. This is the modern world, and when such a big nation like America has very outdated gun laws, it is going to cause a lot of headlines around the world.

Outdated?

Government has been taking weapons away from common folk since before guns or the USA came around.

It's not as much about guns as it is about control.

The argument is outdated. As in this was settled a long time ago and shouldn't even be up for debate.

For the record: "America" didn't decide to police the globe. Politicians did... ours and yours.

Oh…my wife wanted me to share this pic with you.

This is another American with a gun who intends on preserving her life with it if the need arises.

*not porn - no crack showing*

That’s not the PROPER WAY to conceal-carry but then again this isn’t a pic of an American sitting in public.

Who reads magazines?

About 25 million Americans read gun magazines. They also advertise guns in magazines like GQ (a particularly sick 'consider your man card renewed' bushmaster advert from GQ comes to mind).

www.saf.org/journal/16/mappingtheus.pdf

The first thing to note is that gun magazines have a very large readership. The 84 U.S. gun magazines we have identified have a total paid circulation of over 8,400,000.ii Almost as many Americans purchase gun magazines as automotive magazines (10,400,000), about two-thirds the number of purchasers of general “men‟s interest magazines,” i.e. GQ, Playboy, Popular Mechanics etc., (13,000,000).iii Since a magazine‟s readership
is usually double or triple its circulation (one magazine having several readers), we estimate that approximately
25 million Americans read gun magazines.

There is a huge overlap with commercially recognisable (and presumably often sponsored) guns used in many TV shows and movies. Also the deeply worrying marriage of US military propaganda and hollywood. That is all advertising - you should really be able to spot that if you are on a forum like this.

Noboy’s head is being filled with guns….show some proof or cease and desist.

This picture looks just like a lifestyle magazine/cellphone advert/gap advert. Your purpose was to normalise the carrying of that weapon and make it look attractive. As I said, you are advertising guns with this thread. Lying about your ownership of the guns further points out the entirely dubious nature of your posts here.
