knowing something, and having the power to change it, are 2 different things...the big boys know that and act accordingly. that's why the phrases used on this site such as "WAKE UP", and "SHEEPLE" are meaningless.

It's a shame the two biggest representatives for the Conspiracy theory community are Alex Jones and David Icke.

Now if I was tptb. I would be quite happy for these two chaps to be leading the fight against me. Both can be made to look as crackpots pretty easily and unfortunately that goes for all who follow them.

I don't believe either are CIA or disinfo. Just 2 eccentric guys, who have established a huge following. Just a little bit too eccentric for my tastes.

I use to listen to it all the time but then the ads and segments for the water filters and nutritional supplements started to get annoying, as well as I noticied him saying more and more stupid things so now i only listen to it if it seems like an interesting topic or they have jesse ventura or dave mustaine on because they usually have something good to say

I like his show, but the fear mongering and dramatics are a little too much some times so i take breaks.

Also i temper his claims with my own research, and he's spot on.

I approve

Well Alex does that a lot.
Most of the time its because someone canceled on him or if he has a couple of days when he skips the add brakes too much or when he gets too stressed over the harder topics.

I just fast forward. I don't tune in live. I play to the podcast of the day before. fast forward the ads and the ad segments...

Alex Jones is a modern day PT Barnum, except instead of the bearded lady you get to step right up and see Alex.

I was first exposed to Alex Jones circa 2008 by watching his DVDs online. I was impressed and intrigued by the first film I watched and after checking some facts noted in the film I was surprised to discover almost all were accurate. I continued to watch his films, enjoy them and fact check them; always impressed by the fact that almost all of the facts presented were actually true.

After enjoying his DVDs, I began listening to occasionally his show in 2008/09 and enjoyed the discussion and issues he focused on. While he would occasionally go on tirades, they were infrequent enough that when they occurred the listener felt a sense of importance. I continued to listen to him a couple times a week but almost always his Sunday show (which was the most mainstream of his shows); I actually enjoyed Jason Bermas' Sunday show much more than any of Alex's shows.

I began listening to Alex's podcasts regularly in late 2011 and then again in mid-2012. Between the end of 2011 and mid-2012 I noticed a HUGE change in the content of the show. Everything that was discussed was now somewhat tied to a product that Jones was selling. He was now in the weight loss business and had some abomination called the Health Ranger on his show regularly, and I began to notice a lot more guests were seemingly tied to products that Jones had to sell. While Jones had previously had on guests who were tied to products, it was much more infrequent. However listening in mid-2012 the show seemed to shift to PT Barnum telling the rubes to "step right up and try this elixir which will save your life and cure your problems".

Aside from whoring out his show to make as much money as possible for himself through using alleged expert guests with questionable credentials to get the rubes to send their money to Alex Jones in a manner which reminded me of a late night preacher, I noticed that Alex's rants were now daily or hourly and the information he was pushing couldn't be verified via fact check. In my opinion, I think Alex realizes that he might not be able to keep up his charade much longer and wants to make that retirement fund as big as possible before he is fully exposed for what he is.

I'll still listen occasionally, mostly when a major breaking news story is in the spotlight, just to hear what the latest explanation that comes from the mind of Alex Jones and have a good laugh.

I think his yelling and screaming is funny.
All in all, he really seems to believe what he says. And he obviously feels strongly about the prospect of gun bans. That's been his main focus for a while now.

I like Jones' intel but not his dramatics. He has great guests and callers. He needs to tone down. It's all about him and what he does, what I do etc. I see a man with a tremendous ego. Like I said, I do enjoy the intel his program provides. Believe me, he needs to change his message about defeating the globalists. They will have their one-world government, one-world currency and one-world religion. Watch and see. [/quote

This. His blue print or overall idea of how the scheme works is right but the dramatics and getting of subject and fake crying is just too much i pod cast it so i can fast forward those parts.

I used to watch the Alex Jones show a few years back. But lately it seems he is becomming to dramatic, a bit overreacted. Almost like a reality show with too much enthusiasm and it shows him being to me, out of control.

Hes a smart guy, knows his stuff, hes just gone over the deep end with some of his acts and is more rude, than polite imo.

Alex has to make enough money to both bring you the news but also make a living . Sometimes as childish as we people are he has to add the antics to keep our attention . Our attention is prised by advertisers and a more sinister thing . The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zionist is a Jewish plot to keep us distracted from their sinister plan of Global dominance . The Jewish organisations deny this fervently as a plagiarised plan , made up by the Russians . BUT THEY HAVE FOLLOWED IT TO THE LETTER . How can they deny that ? Every part of the Protocols have been executed by the Jewish powers that be and are still being used today . Don't get me wrong I am not anti semitic , but I am not stupid as they suppose either . There are God fearing Jews who are not a part of this Global Government conspiracy . There are two kinds of Jews , the Ashkenazi Jews and Sephardic Jews . Alex is alerting us to the signs of the times even though he has not mentioned the fulfillment of the bible at all . Gods plan is coming to fruition and the chosen people the Jews are bringing about that plan . Remember the Jew Judas has a job to do assigned to him by Jesus himself as well as Peter and Paul had a job on the other side of the spectrum to do for God . Alex is doing his also.

Like a lot of other people, I really did enjoy his show a couple years ago. I bought, watched and double checked the research in most of his movies and didn't find him to have any hidden agendas. For the most part, I found his information to be pretty accurate.

Recently though, I really am getting tired of coming back from a commercial break and having him launch into an infomercial about vitamin supplements, water purifiers, etc.

Also, he treats people who call in terrible by talking over them and going on his own little tirades. Not that I blame him too much, I personally hate listening to callers on shows like his or Coast to Coast, but if you open the phone lines, treat people with respect.

Overall, I think his growing ego and phony personal stories of bravado have caused me to tune in less.

Does anyone know of any other regular radio/internet type shows I could tune in to to get my "jones" for alternative news?

If he's not "spot on" then go ahead and post why not.

He constantly quotes stories from Briebart, Drudge, and other sources that check out and themselves are picked up many times by MSM.

He has credible guests on, economists, cops, insiders, Phd's, etc.

You can do your own research and find out that there is Illuminati, Bankers running stuff, U.S. is turning Socialist/Communist (Shoot I know a handful of people who came to the U.S. in the (60-s-80's) who have recently left because they've noticed that America is collapsing and turning sour, just like their home countries once did).

Do the research!!!!! I've been knowing about these things before Alex Jones even had a radio show.

I did that math, so there is no question about being "off the mark." We should be asking you why you are on a conspiracy forum asking these questions in the first place.

Hi Fawgmyre. I really enjoyed your post because comparing both our posts it seems we had similar journeys with our exposure to Alex Jones. I thought it was very cool that you also fact checked the content of the DVDs and were also impressed when almost everything checked out as factual. I wish he would continue to make those feature-length high quality content-wise DVDs.

I absolutely agree with your thoughts on his treatment of callers-- a couple years ago he was much more conversational, engaging with callers even if they challenged his viewpoint. Since mid-2012 his interaction with the callers to me sounds like someone very nervous that a caller is going to challenge him on something using hard facts that would negate Alex's version of facts. When a caller challenges him it is an immediate explosion of outrage by Alex before a caller is allowed to express his or her comment. For the record Noory does the same thing on the soon to be cancelled version of Coast to Coast.

There is one host whose callers and his interaction with callers impress me beyond words: Clyde Lewis. I am always impressed when a caller takes a position or viewpoint opposite of Clyde's and Clyde allows them to say their piece and then engages them in a thoughtful discussion of both their ideas. Clyde's callers are also, in my opinion, some of the smartest in today's radio landscape and whenever I listen, even if the topic doesn't interest me, I am always engaged, informed and entertained.

As far as a recommendation for a daily show with a focus on alternative news, I'd recommend Deadline Live with Jack Blood here is his website.

Im sorry but you really shouldnt lecture others on ignorance that you presume they have, I am without sounding like a pretentious "insert obvious bad word here" very well read and enjoyed the benefits of a classical education.

Straight off the bat I'd recommend people like Noam Chomsky or John Pilger.

I think you will find these individuals expose more corruption of government than anything Alex Jones could ever pretend too. However they do take a fairly, logical and well reasoned approach to there thinking, I understand this is not for everyone. I believe on an intellectual level Alex Jones is an imbecile, who does nothing more than dance for the cameras like the monkey the idiot masses need to see. If it were not for his seemingly never ending hunger for greed and to milk his niche market with radio and small scale dvd's and merchandising/advert revenue, no one would ever even knew he existed.

Read something by Chomsky you will learn far more about history, society and the world you live than you ever will listening to the lies of Alex Jones.

Also here is a video of Alex Jones calling Noam Chomsky a moron

LOLOLOL

Alex Jones truly is an imbecile of the highest order.

Alex Jones Calls Noam Chomsky a Moron

Chomsky by the way is a full professor in the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistics at MIT, where he has taught full time for over 50 years.

I would NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE use Alex Jones as a source for my world outlook on life, I prefer actual knowledge, if you actualy search this forum you will see it littered with threads of people totaly destroying this idiot.
edit on 16-2-2013 by Tuttle because: (no reason given)

Americanfreedomradio is one I listen to a lot.
Plus they have plenty of broadcasts in the archive.
