here's the live stream www.ustream.tv...

I saw a streak of light going vertically down and bend at 90degrees angle to the right and then another 90degrees turn.

Nevermind, I think it's just the movement of the camera, but cool stream nonetheless.

Yes, the streaks are when they re position the camera to keep the asteroid in frame.

it looks like the viewer is panning to keep up with the object, so it's causing that blur motion. It probably made a star in the background act funny.

Something just occurred to me. If DA14 passes by earth twice a year, then why is this the closest flyby of an asteroid, and the first time we're hearing about it unless it's getting closer each time?

First recorded fly-by of an asteroid of this size. Reading comprehension is key here. It was just discovered and no other known asteroids of this size have been recorded to have come this close.

No it isn't getting closer each year. Kepler's laws and computing power gives pretty accurate predictions once observations are documented.

Streaks aside, I saw 2 VERY distinct UFOs on the one from Spain. You could see lots of stars and a noisy background. I took screenshots every 5 seconds because it's too hard to notice in the time lapse.

I then played it back on my computer, twice, a "star" while the telescope is standing still, darts up and to the left at very high speed. You can watch it move almost swimming like a fish.

It takes a lot of work for me to post the 100 frames as a gif from these PNGs, but seriously just screenshot the thing and play it back you will see lots!
