Wait lol...you say it is important because now, you can read the entire article and not just the headline.

Since when has anyone NOT been able to read the entire article? Has the paper been classified for the last 65 years or something? Nope...a simple Google search brings 119 MILLION returns on just that paper with the entire article right there. Heck, anyone can read the entire damned paper for that day...and EVERY day thereafter on the library of congress website.

I dunno...I guess my screen name fits because I am totally oblivious as to what the big yank is and why this non-issue appears on the front page of ATS where it definitely does not belong.
An online copy is not the same as having the paper right there in your hands. Thats like comparing porn and having sex. The same but not the same capish ?

Particularly because crash dummies came to being in the 50's some time after this event.

HuH? As far as I know Obama is not collecting any sales tax and neither is Uncle Sam. You paid the city and the state where you purchased this but not the country. Not so LOL now is it.

On the other hand GREAT FIND ! I frequent thrift stores and second hand stores too. My passion is blue and white pottery, dishes and stuff like that. I have quite a collection.

Okay, to many people are taking the "Uncle Obama" reference a little to serious. (It was a play on words... Uncle Sam.... Uncle Obama....)(Yes, I know it is a STATE sales tax and not a FEDERAL sales tax...) get over it people....

Um...what is the actual POINT of this thread anyway? So someone found a newspaper from Roswell....so what?? We have all seen this paper. The posters paper isnt different from any other from that day. It offers no new information. In fact, the reason this thread is on the front page is mind-boggling. More concerning is why this topic isnt in Chit Chat or Skunk Works where it belongs.

That how this forum works? Someone can just repost a newspaper they bought and everyone stars/flags....FOR WHAT!?

Pfft, if I could take away a star and flag I would cuz this is just nonsense. Only my opinion and since I wont be revisiting this non-thread again, your comments on my reply will be wasted.

Figured I'd mention that ebay has 112 of the exact same paper available at the buy it now price of $45...or less.

The paper is not rare at all...sorry to piss in ur cornflakes OP.

Wow! For such a worthless thread you not only took the time to write a long rant but also researched Ebay for replica copies of the same paper. You may indicate that you don't care about this thread and "wont be revisiting" but your actions say otherwise.

I have a feeling you won't be able to resist replying to me here. Let's just see! haha

P.S. Just noticed you already did return, twice. LMAO Dang edits gave you away!

Also, thanks to MrSuave, I did contact the person that wrote the blog and had my pics taken down. I would not have minded if he would have asked to use them. Hell, I would have provided him with the original pics for his blog. However, it did rub me the wrong way that they were taken and posted within 24 hours of posting them on here.
Good catch sir!

Montana, I've been there, a nice state. Still not certain this video is there

Hey ImpactoR, yes this is an interesting state, I have been close to there on the border of northern Idaho.

Not only did they have a missile encounter with UFOs (in which the UFOs usually destablize a weapon or more) but a large wave of cattle mutilations in 1976, I want to read 'Mystery Stalks the Prairie' by then Cascade County Deputy Sheriff Keith Wolverton.

Montana is a boring state, no offense to those that live there. It is so flat that it takes a toll on the body to drive though. However, it is beautiful for those who want to stop and look around. I will say, for such a flat state, one could certainly see for miles any lights that appear in the horizon. I am amazed, because I do believe in UFOs, that more have not been seen there.

A very nice find indeed.

It was the Roswell crash that sparked my interest in UFOlogy when I was a kid and would love that piece of history myself. Though personally I would have it verified that it is an original, not just a duplicate that can be easily purchased from ebay and the like, but that's just me

Didn't see if it was mentioned...did you (OP) just get the front page, or the whole paper. I have a copy of the front page framed myself, interesting reading.

Here's the thing about Roswell....

Can't be Mogul...

1) Mogul used off the shelf parts, only the PURPOSE was classified, so there was zero need to send the debris to two military bases specializing in foreign technology.
2) The timeline for a Mogul recovery only jives if you accept Mac Brazel's recanted testimony after being held by the military for 3 days.
3) No other Mogul recovery before or after was done this way (they were simply left in the desert)
4) The parts would be easily identifiable by a child (balsa wood, and Hershey bar like foil paper), so wouldn't have fooled Army Intelligence officers.
5) The USAF has been caught in lies many times in their "official" reports, most horribly, saying the aliens seen were crash dummies (that unfortunately for the USAF, were part of a project 5 years AFTER the event)....

Can't be Ours or any other terrestrial power....(top secret craft)

1) If ours or foreign, it would have certainly been declassified, obsolete, and the perfect scapegoat by now.
2) This would have been the easiest and most convenient way to go, but they didn't, or couldn't.

So, we're left with an object that crashed, was recovered by the military, lied about, and still covered up over half a century later...only one real conclusion to make.

...I have a copy of the front page framed myself, interesting reading.

Me too, alongside the 'OK Corral' account on The Tombstone Epitaph's
front page!!

From what I've gathered over the years, the story wasn't that big-a-deal
to begin with, it faded quickly and it wasn't until Stanton Friedman went
'a-hunting' -did it surface again.
I bought 'The Roswell Incident' book by Berlitz and Moore in 1981 and read
it to ribbons. I was 21 years old.
Now at I'm coming up on 53 years and as some may be aware, age tends to
want a person to be more cynical when it comes to 'flying saucers' and 'little
green men'!

But...
Jesse Marcel Jnr still says his father brought home a box of wreckage and
showed him material that was 'not ours'. Jesse Jnr has never recanted his
accounts of what he saw... the beams and the strange foil, if he's fabricating the
story then that's a helluva way of honouring his late-Father's memory.
I doubt that

The mis-identification of the material by The Roswell Army Base...? Initially, they
thought it was a crashed 'disk' and then corrected the account with the 'Weather Balloon'
story, It's comforting to know that our boys back then couldn't tell the difference between
a Rawin Sonde balloon and a creature-carrying craft!!!
I doubt that too.

The stories and TV programmes about Project Mogel are compelling, scientists speaking
about long apparatus-dragging balloons with decorative tape holding foil reflectors to balsa
wood struts... a discription similar to what Mr. Brazel and his children found on the desert
floor.
But...
it's taken many-many years for these guys to come forward and pour cold water on
the whole incident and that, makes my eyes narrow and to rub my chin in thought!

Something strange happened out there, something that made the Miltary over-compensate
with excuses, excuses that have changed, swapped and become more ludicrous over the
years.

Great thread.

To this day, they've still never come out with an example or even manufacturer name for this "flowery tape" the debunkers try and use to negate the I-beam hieroglyphs. You'd think it'd be on a requisition sheet or purchase order somewhere...but so far, it's just fictitious...

And, you wouldn't fly numerous planes of such material to top foreign tech bases for study...not if you wanted to keep your commission. No, they found something beyond their understanding alright, and sent it to the best minds in the biz to find out.

What is also amazing is that a couple of days BEFORE the famous Roswell incident, two actual balloons crashed. One balloon train was stolen by a couple of punk kids and never recovered . There was no military response, no military squad sent to round up the kids and recover the balloon, no cover story, in fact no story at all.

There was another crashed balloon this time it was recovered by a rancher, the rancher promptly alerted the authorities and they came and recovered the balloon. Take note, there was no flight to Wright AFB, no military squad sent to pick up the crashed pieces by hand, no cover stories about "flying discs", no retractions, top military brass were not alerted -- all in all both cases of an actual crashed balloons were treated very differently from the famous Roswell incident.
