Youtube account name help

For years my youtube account showed my username when I posted. Now it doesn't and shows my 1st and last name instead. Any ideas? Thanks!

The other day it popped up asking me if I want to change my settings to this when I logged in - I was thinking, hell no - who would want to. So I clicked no. I assume you may have accidentally pressed yes when it popped up asking you at some point. Sorry though, not sure how to change it back. Must be somewhere in the settings.

youtube is a Google website , if you've made a Gmail account or something like that it links your accounts, if you've had both for a long time sometimes it will pop up aquestion asking you to link your accounts, you may have selected this without knowing , in your youtube Account settings/Overview it alows you to disconect you youtube account from your google account. hope this helps
