If I were being impatient, or cross with you, I wouldn't have gone to those lengths in being helpful to such a high degree of verbosity.
Linguistics, language, and the rapid evolution of a communication medium right before our eyes is magnificently fascinating, so, I injected my
fascination with the subject into my reply.
I was not being cross, defensive, nor attacking you (singular personal), or any other specific personal individual.
Again, please note, as stated before, the usage of "you", typically in reply to a singular post, is usually the royal or majestic plural usage.
This is a public forum. You (singular, personal) are not the only person that reads any reply I give, even if a reply is to you (singular, personal),
I always address the you (majestic plural) everyone that reads these posts.
Every statement you (both singular personal and majestic plural) make on these forums is read by innumerable other people.
This is street theater.
If you (both personal singular, and majestic plural) think or believe there's private personal dialogue going on, you (both personal singular and
majestic plural) are entirely mistaken.
This platform is a stage, a performance with an audience.
Understanding such might assist some in sparking cognizance to comedy I perform.
Unfortunately, there's still those who insist on the perceptive illusion of personal singular exchange, and take personal singular offense. They
make crybaby statements about my attitude, or some other personal singular perception they've felt.
The evolution of language and communication medium requires an evolution of perception too.
Please stop taking personal singular offense to a performance given to an audience of hundreds, if not thousands, or even tens of thousands or more of
people who will read these posts.
There are other people who ask the same questions as you, singular personal, so, all statements and replies are addressed to you, majestic plural,
since most people are interchangeable, and it doesn't really matter much who or whom I'm addressing since eventually someone will come along that
fits the shoe.
Think about it. Shift your perspective. See the comedy.
This too has been a lesson.
