It's understandable that you're hesitant to go out dating any other doomsdays, especially so soon after the last one turned out to be all tease and no tickle.
You're gun shy.
It's okay.
It'll take time for you to warm up to any new 'girls' after the amount of hype the last one dumped in promise, but, give it time. This one might not have the flash the last one did, but, you might warm up to her.
Wait to see if the next pope is a Peter by given name, nickname, middle name, has any association with the name Peter, Petrus, or any variation of it, and/or the term "Roman" from the shape of his nose, hairstyle, something orated in a sermon past, or any other sign.
Look for it like a flirting smile, or the twinkle of promise for more to come later.
Baby steps.
Soon enough you'll be cutting a rug with this new girl; full of confidence and promise yet again.
If not this one, then, there's certainly other fish in the sea soon to come that will make your doom drum go boom.

Have no Fear, your doom pr0n days aren't over!
2012 Doomsday was a big disappointment for all of everyone that thrives on Doompr0n.
Is there a reason why you keep spelling it 'pr0n' instead of 'porn', or is that just an accident? I'm just curious because it seems intentional.
I personally don't think who the Pope is means anything to the world, or at least my world, but there are a lot of prophecies out there to latch on to even if this one fizzles out.
It's difficult for me to see any Pope as nothing more than an elected official. Certainly no more 'Holy' than you or I. To me it's just like a Senator stepping down and someone else taking his place.

Won't this all kinda fizzle out when the next pope doesn't use the name or fit? I mean...the next one couldn't, could he? They wouldn't.... Nawww.... They just wouldn't.
Assuming for a moment, he doesn't use the name anyway, that does contradict the core of the prophecy doesn't it?\

From the article, at the bottom:
As for the doomsday pope, one would think we are quite safe: according to church tradition, no pope can take the name Peter II.
However, one of the favorites to succeed Benedict XVI is Ghanaian Cardinal Turkson. His first name is Peter.
It’s also interesting that the latest batch of cardinals, hand-picked by Pope Benedict, takes office next week—just days before Pope Benedict xvi resigns.
Did Pope Benedict make this last-minute tweak to secure control and thereby ensure the speedy installment of a specific individual as his replacement? Someone, no doubt, who will continue Benedict’s campaign to create a conservative, traditional Vatican?
Second, expect the next pope to be a staunch advocate of a world-dominating, Catholic united states of Europe. This means he will more than likely be European, and most likely Italian or German.
In the coming days and weeks, speculation will abound about who the next pope will be and what the Vatican will look like under his stewardship. Although we don’t yet know who this man will be, we do know that he will be conservative, and that he will be a powerful advocate of European integration. We also know, thanks to Bible prophecy, that this man and the Vatican will play a key role in instigating events that will culminate in the greatest event in human history: The Second Coming of Jesus Christ!

2. This Pope talk is different! It is a prophesy that has been around since the 1500 based on written evidence that has been accounted for as being fulfilled up to this point, a bit has been stretch to fit, but it does ring more true than not. We will soon see if it continues to ring true.

Some people thrive off of the perceived impending doom it is like a mental disorder for them. They seem almost giddy with anticipation. Maybe it is like a rollercoaster ride for them or how others love watching horror movies where it is a rush for them. I am sure one day there will be a study about those types.

Yes the spelling is intentional. That should be obvious, but, for those not in the know, it's slang, internet speak, electronic patois, or information colloquialism stemming from ascii which later evolved into leet-speak (also known as 1337), as well as adapting and adopting linguistic evolutions of intentional misspellings of words as means for workarounds of auto-censors, which has merged and been absorbed by text-shorthand, or SMS language.
This being a public internet forum, an electronic medium, and the subject of doomsday plus the phenomenon of doom-porn and those dommdayphiliacs being under discussion where I've opened using a note of humor with slight ridicule regarding such, the use of "pr0n" in the colloquial sense as a substitution for "porn" seemed entirely appropriate.
Your homework lesson for today should include a study of ASCII, Binary to ASCII conversion, Leet Speak, and Textese, or SMS language.
Should you require further guided study of the etymology and evolution of the global internet patois as an emerging language, feel free to send me a PM and I can suggest further reading, though, you should be capable of continuing self-guided study on your own by using the previous suggested review material in conjunction with Urban Dictionary, and every other language on the planet with slang derivatives mixed in and you'll be on your way to understanding some of the tidbits of the what and why some things are presented the way they are in electronic media.
