Forget everything else I want to hear about this life long foreign service guy who lives in the dorms at a college

Muaddib

don't worry about opening that post from ace it is worthless drivel.....they go to great lengths to explain how less than 1000 is somehow a good statistical survey representative of 22mil....yet describe `collecting some data in drive by's....admit that most of the really hi data 30% come from one cluster of 30 people......two groups account for most of the excessive data and go to great lengths to explain how tossing one out makes up for it. see and empty house and explain how everyone must have died....and to top it all off....tell how the woman of the house let them come in unescorted to collect data and had no proof of the reported deaths.....HOWEVER, the interviewer had no doubt that they were not over reported because it isn't part of the culture.....wait I thought it was part of the culture to stone to death wives who let men in to question them in the middle of the day unescorted....oh Iím just confused now.
what a crappy statistical survey. Just shows why our education system needs a systematic overhaul.

but of course the folks with an agenda will discount that it is just simplistic garbage and swear that 100k have now gone away....largely because they didn't respond to the driveby questioning.
what a joke.

Sorry to disappoint, but he's not that much of a Super Diplomat! I did know a guy who operated a prostitution service out of the dorms, though -- that would make a better story!

Future Foreign Service Officer Ted & I went to the same high school, and after a couple years, transferred to the same university. A mild-mannered workaday fellow, actually, not a whiz-kid. We shared a flat in 1973-75 in Buffalo, NY while under-grads at University of Buffalo. He's currently back from Israel and doing something in the US for two years until his next foreign assignment.
