It's almost like this is designed to keep people grid locked.

Anyone ever consider the truth is where it always is, in the middle?

Capitalism works, but not in it's current form. We have allowed lobbying corporations to destroy our nation. It is that simple.

Corrupt politicians so on and so forth. True capitalism has never been tried.

Communism gets a bad name because every "communist" country oppresses their people and slaughters innocents.

The truth is we should be Capitalists who share and do not value evil works as "creative genius."

eta: Oh and end political kickbacks - sorry I mean lobbying and consultant jobs. A politician should not be allowed to have contact with corporate money.

Communism is pretty much dead. The only important country is China and I think that is slipping away with the pruchase of massive quantities of Buicks and Jeeps. Communism is not a sustainable economy -- Laissez-faire capitalism is not a sustainable economy either. I would not worry about communism, despite what the teapublicans keep turning over in the fear monger machine.

On Paper, the Idea of Communism is the Best form of Government, Utopian actually.

The Problem with Communism are Humans.

Greed , envy, pride, and sense of worth will Prevail, and Communism along with other Forms of Government Fail.

capitalism works ony for a handful of people, only a handful of people get rich and evryone else works for them for little money only through some revolutionary invention can people get anywhere

communism has issues in that greed is the biggest driver for people to work, and in communism greed really cant exist
so for it to work there has to be a merger of the two systems, somewhere in the middle

State-capitalism and state-communism have both proven themselves to be dismal failures in the human social experiment. Why would we want to continue with either one, or any blend of the two (which is basically fascism)?

The common denominator here is, of course, the state. In one instance the state chooses the winners and losers, and in the other the state ensures that there are no winners or losers.

Communism is an utopia, it never existed in reality. Socialism on the other hand did, but it was largely a failure. Pretty much the only system that exists today is capitalism with varying degrees of welfare and government control attached. And I dont think that is going to change anytime soon, and frankly nobody has come up with anything better yet that would work in reality.

I am not sure about that, China is often described as state-capitalist, and despite its flaws it is certainly one of the better managed developing nations.

Communism is better than capitalism, if done correctly.

The only problem is innovation and research. I guess governments could manage that, but it would no doubt be limited to the ignorance of the politicians.
