I am afraid you are not correct.
I am not talking about relative freedom most Americans are still enjoying. I am talking about buildup of bad KARMA for lack of better words, for the crimes Americans have done and continue to do abroad.

As for your claim that US has become a superpower out of necessitate, you completely miss the point.

It is not about HOW POWERFUL you are.

It is about how you wield your power in the last 50 years or so.

As far as I am concerned the actions of America are just the result of the archetype of Empire that we see throughout history. Doesn't mean that the country isn't run some of the sickest #s in the world, but what I am saying is that what we see with America echoes the Romans and other empires. Good news for your thesis is that Empire always ends the same.
