Fortunately we have people who actually study this stuff for a living - they get out in the field, take samples, make measurements and study them in depth using well established science. They work from evidence, rather than pre-conceived notions.
You can believe what you like, of course, but don't expect any one else to take you seriously. Well, apart from the usual motley collection of conspiracy theorists.
