Whenever I do long timelapse photos of the sky with my semi-pro camera gear, I record flashes, streaks, and stars that appear to exist for only a single frame. I posted about it here and at astro-photography forums. General conclusions lead to meteorites, gamma ray bursts, satellites.... I posted a demo video of it on youtube.

MUST WATCH IN 1080p or higher FULL SCREEN to see it. Sorry it's hard to follow and really needs some narration.
