We all remember this Judge ( Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat ) & who gave the girl ( Penelope Soto ) 30 in jail for flipping him off right?

Now let's see what the judge has been up to himself!

This is a picture of the esteemed judge who jailed the girl for 30 days for flipping him off on the legistature floor assaulting & attacking another member of the legistature.

TALLAHASSEE, FL. 4/9/98-Reps. Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat, R-Miami, left, and Carlos Valdes, R-Miami, scuffle on the floor of the House of Representatives as Rep. Bruno Barreiro, R-Miami Beach, right, tries to intervene Thursday at the Capitol in Tallahassee. Earlier during debate over the School Readiness Voucher Program bill Valdes pointed out that Rodriguez-Chomat's children attend a private school. Rodriguez-Chomat took exception to the comments and said he felt the statements overly personalized the debate. Photograph by COLIN HACKLEY

State Rep. Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat , R-West Dade, is betting voters will overlook his reputation for having a short fuse and a sharp tongue and return him to Tallahassee for a third term representing District 114.

So our judge himself admits that he has a reputation for having a 'short fuse' and sharp tongue yet when a girl is rude to him he loses it?

In February [1998] when Florida International University professor Dario Moreno described Miami on national television as "almost the definition of a Third World Banana Republic," Rodriguez-Chomat retaliated by threatening FIU President Mitch Maidique to hurt the university when funding issues came up in Tallahassee if Maidique didn't take a stand against Moreno. Maidique refused and Rodriguez-Chomat was forced to apologize and retract his statement."

So our judge also takes tries to take revenge and hurt universities when others practice their freedom of speech?

In a 2010 Dade County Bar Association judicial poll, Rodriguez-Chomat "was rated unqualified by more than 46 percent of respondents," according to Jose Pagliery, then a Daily Business Review staff writer.

Not only that, but nearly 46% of bar members rate him as unqualified.
here is the source about unqualified judges

It is obvious when people look into these judges who think that they are above the law. We can find law breaking over and over being done by the judges, yet, nothing ever happens to them.

A girl is rude to him and he trows the book at her?

I suggest the judge looks in the mirror first.

What do you think about all of these overreaching judges?

Who cares, that girl was an idiot and deserved what she got. She obviously wasnt taking her situation seriously. Sad thing is she most likely learnt nothing from that situation.

Ever seen the movie "And Justice For All"? You should if not. The movie portrayed a lot of judges behaving badly/insanely etc. It starred Al Pacino as a lawyer trying to make a change. Worth a watch.

Please explain how a person that breaks laws can sentence another person to jail for breaking laws?

See the problem there?

I bet every judge in existence has at some point in their life broken the law. They are not jesus (if he was real).
Not condoning his fighting or anything, but it doesn't change how stupid that girl was. No judge would let that crap fly.

Yup, the girl was stupid. No argument there.

I am just pointing out the double standards when it comes to "law makers & enforcers".

In the above pic there is evidence of the judge assaulting someone and absolutely nothing happened to him.

The girl commits a victimless crime (putting substances into her body) and she gets the book.

Judges are people. Who knows what this character gets up to off the bench. If the information presented in this thread is factual then hes not really fit to be wearing the judge gown.

Another scumbag with power. Always a double standard with these people. And as far as flipping the bird, I consider that free speech/expression. People who cannot control themselves shouldn't have authority over others.

I saw that personality type right away, which is why I pointed it out in the original thread. People like him shouldn't be allowed to represent the law. He's a hothead with a superiority complex. He was being just as facetious as the girl during her hearing. If he can't take it, don't dish it.

Get rid of this idiot's career.

Who cares?

I don't know. People who may end up one day in front of a judge of the same ilk. Corrupt Police, Corrupt judges... Innocent people being prosecuted for no reason. Losing all along the way.

You see how corruption becomes a problem?
