Apparently Dorner was already dead when the fire started. Reports of a single gunshot wound to the head.

I saw at least one FBI jacket in the media reports that day and I'm wondering what the scope their support was. What were the FBI providing besides tactical advice that made the operation turn out to look like a scaled down Waco? It appears prior to finding Dorner and the death of the deputy that day they had already decided a plan to burn Dorner to death if they found him in a wooden structure. The had predetermined that Dorner was too dangerous to wait him out, but their strategy ended up costing them another deputy anyway. The sheriff not only broke the law but he got one of his own killed that day. Another reason for their cover up and delayed release of information. More you look at it the more mistakes start showing up.

This doesn't jive with the US Marshalls report that a person came out of the burning cabin, and was forced back in by the LAPD. Something else here to think about:

Why did the guns retrived from the cabin where Dorner died not have any signs of burn damage?
