Whats interesting is that...

The number of HOUSEHOLDS AND INDIVIDUALS that own a gun has been more or less dropping...

While the number of guns SOLD has been rising...

What does that tell you? Those that own guns...are buying MORE guns...and as the chart above shows, a little fear mongering and a black man in the whitehouse doesn't hurt the gun sales either...

In crossing lines, it shows the buying hasn't been limited to Texas, Missouri, Montana or other traditionally "gun friendly" states, but as often seen in states like Mass, California, New York and Maryland. These are traditionally hard blue and left leaning states. Hence, the buying behavior cuts across lines....or I'll say that is how I interpret it. That would be the fair way to say it...since anyone may interpret the same source data differently.

It still doesn't show anything about demographics. Just because guns are bought in a "blue state" doesn't meant that they are being bought by Democrats.

I'm sure you will find some crossover in demographics if you find the sources...but you currently don't have the sources so you can't make a claim that the crossover is anything significant no more than I can claim that all a good deal of these purchases were done by current firearm owners...I'm sure a percentage of them are...but I can't make any claim about it because I have no data to back it up.

So I'm sorry, but you still have not backed up your claim with solid data...just more speculation on your part.

What I honestly lack here is any link between Obama, Biden and any gun interests for money. Unlike Darth Vader and his ties back to Halliburton under Bush, there aren't any clear links here.

That leaves me doubting any deliberate move here to run up gun sales. Quite the opposite, I think the higher sales drive people like Obama and Feinstein insane as they see each number as another to have to get BACK some day.

Who knows tho.... games within game, eh?

I don't believe Obama is trying to drive up gun sales...I think the NRA and the gun industry are using the fear they know people have of Obama to exploit them into purchasing more guns.

These numbers to me show one thing...good marketing.

I find it interesting that no-one has disputed the numbers. Sure, there may have been an attempt early on, But since then, this has become another debate over "rights" definition and "freedom" rankings.

The simple fact of the matter is that many (millions of) people so fear that this administration is heading towards gun confiscation that they are willing to arm themselves to defend that right.

Why would we try to dispute documented numbers?

That is the conservatives job to try to dispute documented fact...not mine.

I even acknowledge that "millions" of people have an irrational and non-fact based fear of Obama...but millions more support him.

Yeah I do because it does not give you the power to do whatever the hell you want.

That is a fact in a constitutional republic as this nation was founded as no persons rights superceed another.

That does not give you the power to take anything away from me.

As long as the SCOTUS upholds it...not a thing you can do about it except do the exact same thing I did...which is in your right to do.

Alternatively, they could skip the SCOTUS all together (with a 2/3 affirmative vote by congress and 3/4 affirmative vote by the states) and ratify an amendment to the constitution.

Conversely, monkeys could fly out of my but.

Everyone has graphs!

Like the one from this site:

www.huffingtonpost.com...

88 guns per 100 people. 49% Americans think its a right compared to 45% who say its a "priviledge".

There are other examples, we both know it. I used this one specifically to illustrate a point though, you see America is currently engaged in many wars and police actions around the world currently, action has been repeatedly taken without the consent of Congress in conflict with tradition and the law.

Actions that didn't need consent of Congress. And I much prefer Obama's military actions of not commiting us to a long term war than Bush's policies.

But please...show the other examples of gun control turning into the massacre of the citizens....and then please show that this is ALWAYS the case. If you can't do that, then you are using a logical fallacy.

Our current administration has armed a terrorist regime with state of the art fighter jets in Egypt

That is your opinion...they are recognized as an official government of Egypt...just because they are Muslim doesn't make them terrorist...brainwashing is a scary thing.

to remove a government that is no longer for the people by the people. That is the nature and right the Constitution affords us and one that is not to be taken lightly or easily given up.

That is actually not a right of yours...that in fact, by definition of the Constitution, would make you a traitor to the Constitution and country.

Please don't mix your documents...the "right to revolt" or to "overthrow tyranny" is no where in the US Constitution and you do not have the legal right to do so. And since it is in fact against the Constitution to war against the United States of America...you would be an enemy to the Constitution and the lawfully thing to do would be to have the United States military to fight against you.

Apologies...I chose the politically incorrect "black man" in the context of "fear"...when I should have chosen from the GOP approved fear mongering adjectives like...Terrorist, Anti-christ, Manchurian Candidate, Secret Muslim, Kenyan, Socialist/Nazi/Facist/Hitler ad infinium

Nah the anti gun argument was lost sometime ago especially when someone wanted to start lobbying and bribing and stacking the scotus with "persons who think like him".

Much like Hitlers czars/henchman.

Even when I try and bend over backward to be nice in presenting my sourcing and specifically say it's only fair to say it's my interpretation and not some stated fact of meaning, your reply is dismissive, combative and generally about as hard edged as a machete.

Now my interpretation is what it is. You asked for sourcing. You got it and more than you asked for. That my interpretation and yours don't agree is one of those things in life we just can't do much about. That is debate though. Can't win 'em all.

I just want to point out~ After further review of your profile and Threads you've created. Your an Anti-Gun Activist. Don't say you believe in the right to bear arms when it's blatently obvious your lying, and rusing individuals. If you are an American citizen it's by Green Card only. Your Rhetoric is not Left or Right, it's communistic, fascist and
anti-american.

Born and raised...voted for Obama twice...bet you love that.

I don't hide my views...I am for very strict gun control in order to reduce the amount of guns in our society.

I love how you have a litmus test for true Americans...which by the way is another logical fallacy...look up no true scotsman....this thread is full of fallacies.

Lobbyist as well. So go and Donate your money and get the Educated Derelicts that would sell out this country. The only choice you have is by force. And BY FORCE is what American's were best known for, and will be again if this politcal debacle of interpretation and monetary throw around continues.

Remember your just one person. NRA is a whole lot Million stronger than you and growing by the day.

So you are against me donating and organizing for my beliefs...and then you promote the NRA....hypocrite much?
