This seems to be a good place to note my observation that a significant majority of conservative or right wing members seem to sport rough tough avatars. Hence my use of the phrase "Keyboard Kommandos with Action Avatars!"

I think the face paint could mean having two identities - the painted face is what everybody sees, it conceals my true identity and acts as a front, helping me just blend in with the surroundings. I don't like being the centre of attention and being on show. But makeup could also mean that I draw attention to myself.

Perhaps it hides the true me? I only show my true self (remove my makeup) to people who know me and are close to me.

I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or not though! Any other ideas about what it means?

I made mine out of a photo of myself and placed an odd looking face onto it with an alien looking world backdrop.
You are right. I am fascinated that perhaps there was intervention in natural evolution in the past that lead to modern humans. Hence my avatar choice.

why not !! get over here - and nip over to Ireland .. its only a few hours on the plane, not much further then flyin across the Americas. Come in the summer though.
