It's been said "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" but isn't it more like "She-wolf in a Knit Sweater"?

My present avatar is the only photograph known to exist of whales having sex.

Earlier avatars I have favoured include: a woodcut of the murder of the original Astyanax; an elephant contemplating itself in a full-length mirror; a young lady friend of mine at a shooting range; a small, angry dinosaur (I kept that one for a long time), a ladylike English sports car of the 1950s, a group of narwhals and a series of photographs of the late North Korean leader Kim Jong Il.

What would all that add up to, I wonder.

Now, if you had a animated gif of whales getting it on, that would be priceless

Many are asking what their Avatar says about them but, who is to judge and from my perspective, everyone sees something different. For example, when I see what reminds me of Japanese Anima, think of one of my daughter's friends when she was a little girl playing Pokemon or Dragon Ball Z and when I see a photo of some object or place, I think the creator is directing attention away from themselves to make some other statement or when I see an Avatar of some actor...well,maybe that is better than a picture of themselves

But seriously, I am no judge. My Avatar is very symbolic; that is me, my dogs, my boat, a cave I used to camp in when I was a kid and those orbs are the best facsimile of the Orbs I encountered at my campsite in Death Valley in 1978.

To each his.her own,it is just neat we have the space to do so..is my thought.

Sounds like some of the requests we get....

You'd be amazed at what could fit in a 180x480 pixel rectangle....

But going by that, I'd say you are obsessed with the unusual...

Hah, now I know I'm not that good. I must of got something wrong. Nope, I'm not stalking you--what someone displays about themselves in their personal symbols (an avatar for example) tells quite a bit about how the person sees themselves.

Great thread, OP. Via my avatar, who am I?

A fox in business attire. Hmmm...

If the two are to be taken together, am I cunning and sophisticated, or...

are the two separate? Am I a fox, devious and cloaked in sophistication, or am I a fox in disguise, here to hang amongst the sheep?

I'll let you fine people decide.

There are other options you know. For instance your some ladies pet fox who she likes to play dress up with and sometimes she keeps the fox in here purse. Its a very big purse.

How about my avatar ? What does it tell ?

Wishes he was wolverine, the lone wolf. But in reality is probably batmanuel on a bad hair day.

Anyway……..what does my avatar say about me? This should be fun!

One day when the dust settles, and he settles, or it settles him, hopes to have a beard of epic proportions.
